Unlike the other songs you mentioned, Nosferatu Man never reaches a satisfying conclusion, which is sad since the main riff is amazing. I think it was the 33⅓ book where I read that For Dinner is the track with the most peaks and valleys as far as dynamics goes, it's just a much, much more subdued level and it completely changed how I viewed the song. The other tracks have these explosive crescendos and For Dinner has constant use of dynamics but again it's so gentle. Really, really great mood. I also believe it's the last track they made for the album, so it was where they were at creatively at the time of the actual recording, whereas all the other tracks were a year or so old at that point. There's some universe out there where we got a slowcore third LP from Slint.
