Well, it really depends on the show. Just recently, Kowloon Generic Romance had a really cool artstyle, CITY: The Animation as well. CITY especially has a lot of soul in it's art design.

Also there was Ping Pong: The Animation which came out after 2013 when you presumably stopped, that one is also definitely worth checking out.

There's definitely good anime still being made, just don't watch something that is obviously shit
