what are the best britpop albums not made by one of the Big 4 (Oasis, Blur, Suede, Pulp)?
Supergrass, Manic Street Preachers and Verve were close in popularity, so let's forget about those bands too. And maybe even Elastica S/T, another obvious choice.

Ash are pretty cool.

I wouldn't call them a britpop band, but yeah, some of their singles are basically britpop (like Goldfinger)

Anything from Franz Ferdinand, though they're more guitar pop than brt pop I think it fits well.

Franz Ferdinand emerged early 2000s, far too late for Britpop.

>>127960010
And they're far too early for Britpop.

not britpop as they were earlier during the acid house thing, britpop is the mid to late 90s Cool Brittania wave

Ocean Colour Scene is the first one comes to mind that you didn’t mention. Why are you being difficult, what are you planning?

nothing special, I was just in a britpop mood recently, and I wanted to discover other good albums outside of the big names.
I already know the most noteworthy
albums of the bands I mentioned when I opened the thread.
I remember there were dozens of other successful britpop acts back then, but of any of them I
either know nothing or just the singles.
you know, bands like Echobelly, Sleeper, Gene, Bluetones, Auteurs, Kula Shaker, Mansun, Shed 7, Divine Comedy...
