They have their own ghetto mulatto music, it’s called funk for some godforsaken reason.

we have our own crap music to listen to

Our charts are just as bad but at least it's nice to live in a place where Taylor Swift rarely plays on the radio

no one I know has heard of him. I've never heard his stuff on the radio either.

Canada is an odd one.
They have way too many big stars for a country of 35 million or whatever.
3 of the Top 5 are leafs ffs

1. Drake - leaf
2. Taylor Swift - burger
3. Bad Bunny - rican
4. The Weeknd - leaf
5. Justin Bieber- leaf

i guess they have nothing to do but watch it snow or learn music, 9 months of the year
>>
>>127969694
fwiw an australian group is one of my favorites of all time
you cunts are okay sometimes
>>

is this old, cuz there are zero (0) Bad Bunny concerts scheduled for Canada.

He played to 19,000 people in Toronto in 2024 tho
I wondered how, then read
>The concert was a significant event, with fans from across North America, including a large contingent from Puerto Rico and New York, travelling to Toronto to attend the show.
>>
>>127969837
A lot of shilling can happen in a year. I guarantee tens of thousands more of Canadians would go to a concert now.
>>
>>127969774
Which group, Barbie and the 'Roos, Giant Fucking Spiders and Snakes, Picnic at Hanging Rock?
>>
>>127969869
idk I don't think anyone knows him here, he raps(?) in Spanish, which is not a Canadian language.
English or French? yeah.
Mandarin, sure.
Even Indian songs chart here. now.

But I've never seen a Spanish song on a Canadian chart.

Parkway Drive is the best band to come out of Australia
>>
>>127967060
Brazil has the best top 40 in the world. Is it full of crap? Yes. But it's much better than the top 40 in other countries. Traditional Brazilian music is still relevant in the TOP 40 and sounds better than anything that's popular in the rest of the world.
>>
>>127970397
it's full of funk carioca, hip hop and cringe country
I guess you can count Pagode as traditional brazilian music though

All of this sounds better than American music. My problem with American slop is that it's standardized. There are no interesting tunings, playing, or anything. And they boast a huge budget. If you see the instruments that some of these bands use, you'll cringe. Just to give you a hint, what was the last top 40 song that employed complex bass picking? That's standard in Brazilian music.
>>
>>127970483
we do tend to underrate our slop

I don't defend it out of nationalism. Because I love American culture more than the culture of the country where I was born. But that comes from the fact that American pop music is grating on the ears. I mean, pop music is grating in general. Even Brazilian pop music never fails to disappoint you. With Funk Carioca leading in lowering any standards Brazil still has. But I've noticed that compared to Brazilian music, American pop always falls short. There's a kind of stiltedness in American pop, even in “ethnic” pop. It's inferior to our own brand of ethnic music.
>Nashville country
Sertanejo is better in every way.
>Club music
Funk is better. American club music manages to be even worse.
>Hip Hop
Brazilian rap is better.
>POP
Even when it conforms to the American format, it's still better.

I think that after Brazil, only Japan comes close.

People thinking Brazil is ~le based but we have our own kind of Bro Country (Sertanejo Universitário) which is just as shit as Raggaeton.
>>
>>127974413
Sertanejo is much better than bro-country. The lyrics may be garbage, but the musicality is light years ahead of bro-country.
>>
>>127974435
>the musicality is light years ahead of bro-country.
I don't know about that. They are both shit so it's irrelevant which is worse.
