...I liked it
>>
It’s one of their best and it’s a damn shame we never got TKOL Part II.

I like every song. It just sounds kind of slight and minimalist but they could have continued with that direction. A nice fusion of some electronics and full band playing. The drumming is spectacular on the album

tkol enjoyers thread :)

Radiohead fan here. I've still never heard this album.

If you think this is over, then you're wrong
>>
It's good. Not one of their best, but it's fine. Staircase and Supercollider should've made it to the main tracklist. No idea why Feral filters people, it's one of the better tracks.

much better than the absolute fucking bore of a record that is AMSP
>>
>>127972566
I thought AMSP was a near masterpiece that built directly upon TKOL, especially on songs like Daydreaming, Ful Stop and The Numbers. It is an emotional drag, but clearly that was the point.

It's a great album.
Only perpetual teens who like angsty emo shit like The Bends who don't like it.
>>
>>127975465
That's perhaps swinging too far in the other direction but strangely enough, TKOL is probably the closest thing to an optimistic album that Radiohead's written. They generally sound at peace with themselves on most of these songs. Morning Mr. Magpie and Little By Little have flashes of that old existential angst but it's mostly chill.

>tfw still waiting for KoL Part 2

Man why is The Bends catching strays, they're both good albums.
Not at the level of the OKKidRainbows holy trinity, but still solid.
>>
>>127970333
Me too. I ignored it until I saw the in studio performance video they made. That said, as dudes, they're insufferable. Many such cases.

as i grow older i slowly realize amnesiac and this are my favorites
>>
Not a particularly good album but that tour was probably the best they ever played

It's the final culmination of the eletronic style they have been developing since Kid A, but with a bunch of the neo-psychedelic vibes of In Rainbows.

I think it's a flawed masterpiece of an album. It could be a 10/10, but it was held back by badly thought tracklist choices. It also had amazing b-sides that for some reason weren't included in the final cut.
If it had 2-3 extra songs and they were put together in a better paced track order, it would be remembered as one of their very best.

that was the remix album

also Supercollider / The Butcher and Daily Mail / Staircase
>>
>>127977827
"Supercollider" was too long and dragged out, so I get it why it wasn't in the final album tracklist.
But man, cutting "The Butcher", "Staircase" and "Daily Mail" from the album was such a stupid idea. The album have less than 40 minutes, so what's the point anyways?

Btw "Daily Mail" might be the best non-album song in the band's whole career.
>>
I have listened to every Radiohead song, this is by far my favourite album from them, TKOL has earned a spot in my "if you could only bring 5 vinyls to a deserted island" metaphor list
>>
TKOL is great, very uplifting and it always makes me wanna sperg out dancing like thom yorke in lotus flower mv, which is unheard of for a Radiohead album really.
