He's always dancing and mumbling in the back of everyone one of his artists songs. Is this a way to add himself to the credits of the songs and videos and take a cut out of their earnings?
Of course it was. He wasn't anything resembling a real rapper, nor was he an engaging performer no matter who ghostwrote his lines. He was a party organizer before his "music career". Artists adding him as a feature was an obvious bribe.

Mase said Diddy owned 100% of his songs so he didn't need to include himself for credits. He just stole outright ownership from his artists. It was likely him just wanting to be well known and famous when he included himself in songs.
