Hang in there I'll get back to you even if my playing would be shit and doesn't really fit. Wish I had some Django in me for this but I don't.

>followed a metronome at 101 BPM
Sure doesn't sound like it.
>>
>>127976505
Yeah, it's pretty rough. Thought it would be fun to join in with a drum track or a bass line, but the timing seems fucked

Yeah i noticed listening back to it. I think its due to vocaroo fucking it up, I used the sites own recording feature and it seems that it tends to cut things up a bit. Rerecorded it in fl studio and reupped it. Checking the tempo now it seems to line up all the way to the end. BPM is still 101.

Now the volume is too low.
>>
>>127977383
Not OP but just... turn the volume up?
>>
>>127977383
Just put it in audacity and amplify it
>>
cool idea

If only anyone other than OP contributed

I'd be more behind this if the foundation of the song was based in the rhythm instead of a shitty melodica lead. What is this supposed to be, a sea shanty?

It's melodica playing harmony D:

Why can't it? Sea shanties are cool :(

It's slop and not good enough, but I did keep my word and came back. If a divine wind blows tomorrow might come back for another go.

modeller as interface 4 cable method into tube amp + usb cable to daw no mic
One track from the tube preamp + V30 IR
DI track reamped with picrel
2 guitar tracks might be phasing slightly hence your perception of the 70's? I dunno only got into recording recently

You could always try with a new backing track melodica anon. I'll check it out again and poop something on it.
>>
>>127989889
Not sure why it sounds 70s to me, your theory is as good as mine
