Is this the beginning of the end of Anglo monoculture in the US? I've never seen a slop pop album receive such a negative response. Reactions are very similar to when normies soured on Disney content.
>>127975124Time to bring rock back. There's a poptimist backlash. Enough with these tranny faggots. Go get better taste and cry with your shitty dance pop records
>>127975124>anglo>tay
>>127975133most current mainstream rock music sounds even lamer than pop slop tho
>>127975124Most 21st century Madonna albums were ridiculed almost as hard.>>127975133>>127975770>>>/reddit/
>>127975124>let's replace anglocentric pop with the most 2005 shit ever with reggaeton Great idea.
>>127975124>Is this the beginning of the end of Anglo monoculture in the US?I imagine tiktok's keeping it on life support. We kind of ran out of cool new shit with the introduction of computers and we've just been coasting on borrowed time. Even prog/experimental shit has devolved into "let's make computers make wacky noises and pretend it's art" over the past few decades.
>>127975808>Most 21st century Madonna albums were ridiculed almost as hard. yeah, the actually bad ones.Confessions on a Dance Floor was well received.
>>127975124Fuck off redditor
>>127975133You guys already have sombr to listen to
post the medication you have been prescribed and arent taking
>>127975124You must be very young, pop music like this was viewed as cringe and gay by "tastemakers" until Lorde.
>>127978989i don't think real music fans ever especially liked Swift even in the early albums
>>127975124morgan wallen and country still exist
So shit that SOPHIE died, we'd be getting 5-dimensional futurist neoclassical eurodance by now
Nah Taylor is having her Icarus moment. She was successful when she was much more mysterious and truly just focused on making her music. After buying her freedom and letting herself get too much exposure and started doing more interviews she ruined her airs of mysteriousness. Couple that with the fact that shes a billionare dating another very public figure and its too much exposure. She also releases her fucking albums right when other hot artists are climbing the charts. Sabrina, Charlie, Olivia and Chappel have been slowly chipping away her fanbase who have realized "Oh shit her music is pretty bad in comparison and she hasn't had much actual growth as an artist or has much range."

>>127980823She's bogged now.
>>127980823Of the Disney variety yeah. I question how much longer Sabrina is going to hold out as she's been given a lot of grace. Charlie on the other hand has regained relevance and Chappel well time will tell but her music is more 80s esque and comes across much less corporate.
>>127975124>Is this the beginning of the end of Anglo monoculture in the US?Not really, rather a beginning of Taylor Swift's reign. Not even her cult could defend such atrocious piece of work.
>>127980953beginning of the end*
>>127980953Her decline really started with publicy hitching her horse to the Kamala campaign. She must of been given a big check to do so because she had so little to gain and way too much to lose. Tying her brand to politics is retarded especially with how marketable she was before. Shes started to make some seriously questionable business moves ever since getting the rights to her music.
>>127980707You had it in the first half ngl She's too in your face. She needs that air of mystery. It worked perfectly because for a long time she always had this shy awkward girl thing going on, but now she's being a little too catty and brazen. She likes to pull the: "well, you wouldn't be upset if a man did this!" Card but a man wouldn't have had the career she had, either. She was a success because she was a little blonde angel that sang pretty songs. Once she added in "and everyone is mean to her!" it was like Professor Utoninium dropping the Chemical X. From the Jonas breakup, to Kanye, to John Mayer, to Demi Lovato/Katy Perry, to Gyllenhaal, to Styles, to Harris, to Kardashian, to the Master heist, to Alwyn, and more I can't even keep track of anymore she was able to milk that "I'm a victim" card and play the blxonde ingenue and everyone ate it up. The fact that she had really pretty and/or catchy songs on top of it was the cherry that tied it all together. Sure, she's surrounded by crass people, but she has to remember they won't ever reach the heights she seemed to be aiming for. Michael Jackson wasn't an ass, and neither were The Beatles. And they always maintained an air of wanting to be out of the spotlight while being in it constantly. Her finally going make off and saying: "Yay! I love being super popular and I want to be sassy about it killed that a bit and her trying to be too jokey this album was the nail in the coffin.
