Hi, I've never listened to metal before and now I am suddenly interested in the genre.What are anon's recommended bands, albums or "path" for a complete newbie to start listening to the genre? A skeleton image because skeletons are pretty metal.

Just dig on RYM. Once you found your niche the charts are pretty accurate. Anything rated above ~3.30 should be good for a noob.

It depends on your style of metal really. For example, I could recommend you SOAD, but whether you'd love it or hate it would depend on your own taste of feeling.
