No one takes rolling stone seriously. Pithfork is the standard for normies and it's going to give Taylor's latest slop a 1.6.

It's the most visited music review website by a wide margin.

Poptimism is just a consequence of capitalism
>>
>>127980137
Loving Taylor Swift is just a consequence of mainstream media trying to force mystery meat zoomers as sex symbols
>>
/mu/'s take on Taylor Swift is like one of those internet war nerd communities that constantly talk about the front lines collapsing any second or how their enemies will be defeated before losing their strategic bombers to a surprise attack or having to flee Syria because of a sudden rebel offensive out of nowhere. Just terminal contrarianism gone haywire.

this.

By literally all objective measures, TLoaS is already a massive, enormous success. This is causing all the cope & seethe from everyone who wanted desperately for the album to flop

subjective measures have varied widely, as subjective measures are wont to do. So the incel /pol/ tourist MAGA trash are reduced the most pathetic of all possible cope: "Ha any bad review is based and any good review is industry shill."

To my ear, the new record is not great, maybe 3.5/5 but there are some fantastic moments on it, some snooze/cringeworthy moments too, but throughout the production is fantastic.

Kinda like Steven Wilson's stuff of late. Even at its worst, the sheer pleasure of such immaculate production kinda makes you forget that the album has some very mediocre moments.

Dilate Your Music is nowhere near the end-all-be-all.

The kind of nerds who would use a rating site are review bombing it because she's dating a jerkjock and not a woman like they want her to

Nah. RYM has gradually turned against Taylor since 2020. Ignore the rereleases and see Midnights was a worse score than Folklore/Evermore and then TTPD was another downgrade and you are here now.

>/Mu/ are the only people that are hating on Taylor Swift
You have no idea what's going on and I'm here for it ;:^D
>>
Everyone hates her now except her paid marketers.
>>
>>127979807
Reminder: Rolling Stone have Lady Gaga's "Bad Romance" a 1/5 the week it debuted, then when it blew up they had to take down the review and re-release a new review in their next issue giving it a 5/5.

Their reviews are worthless.

I've never met anyone IRL that knows what Pitchfork is. The only place I've ever heard it discussed is on /mu/

That in no refutes the post you replied to.
Nerd website echo chambers have never been significant in the real "normal" world.

You never see them quoted outside the echo chambers.

Her own diehard fans hate this shit. They will buy anything she does many times over but it's clear the train is going off the tracks. She's an old washed up hag who is turning into her pig mother very quickly. Nothing in the world can help her now.

Fantano thought the album was very front loaded his first listen. Thought alot of it was outright cringe inducing.
