why is she so prolific? 6 albums in 6 years while usually artists make less and less music as they age
>>
>>127980363
*not to mention the re-recordings of her old albums
>>
>>127980363
>usually artists make less and less music as they age
Source?
Also 35 is definitely still young.
Also you're a retarded fucking fag.
>>
>>127980363
She's desperate for attention and pumping out a lot of bullshit no one wants.
>>
>>127980385
>a lot of bullshit no one wants.
>record numbers of streaming & sales

and she also won the box office weekend for the TLoaS release party movie event.

tell us more about how "nobody wants this"

Retarded women who never grew up don't count as people
>>
>>127980363
Guys like Max Martin and Jack Antonoff have been doing this for years. It doesn’t take long for them to turn the half baked diary entries that Taylor gives them into pop songs for low IQs. They’ve got an efficient system built up that churns out slop exactly as fast as the market demands it.

Ever wonder what Taylor Swift would sound like without a team of big money producers making all her albums for her? Me too.

Are you not tired from defending a billionaire yet?

You bitches betta start steppin on into that ass

A majority of her diehard fans hate this shit too. It's amazing.

I'd love some spaghetti right now.
>>
>>127980363
She has an entire enterprise to write songs for her, trimmed for the masses.

wasn't it normal in boomer times to do this? artists would put out an LP sometimes two a year.

She enjoys wrecking the vinyl processing capacity across the country and squashing the ability of small bands/artists to actually release vinyls on time unless they delay their new albums. I'm not kidding, Swift albums actually wreck the whole vinyl infrastructure of the US, because her brainwashed cult will buy the most worthless crap imaginable, as this album proves.
>>
>>127980363
>usually artists make less and less music as they age
the only music she is credited with is handclaps on track 3.
>>
celebrating her sorry downfall feels so good

>>
>>127981179
She still has a few years in her. But unlike with last year, all the people in my life who never shut the hell up about her releases haven't said anything at all about it, and, a few days on now, while it's got big numbers to it, the response is somehow the most muted I've seen since she blew up.
>>
>>127981319
>She still has a few years in her.
she's had absolutely zero growth in her sound over the past decade. literally just coasting on wine aunts willing to pay $800 for nosebleeds on ticket master and 9 vinyl recolors including exclusive target red edition
>>
>>127981468
she's reached the point of 80s-90s Elton John where his audience was nothing but wine aunts
>>
>>127981093
Story idea: rash of vinyl plant employee suicides caused by producing nothing but Taytay pressings.
>>
>>127981468
Sure, but being able to coast at the highest level isn't really a downfall. A few of boredom with her shtick has to happen before she goes the way of Madonna.
>>
>>127981497

A few *years* of etc.

She has a songwriting formula and can crank out an endless stream of similar sounding pleasant but forgettable music. They probably had to restrain her to keep this album at only 41 minutes.
>>
>>127980363
>6 albums in 6 years
duration wise, it's been only 5 years
>>
>release happy pop rock album that doesn't really fit the visual aesthetic she presented it with
>turns around and releases cabaret versions of songs that actually fit the aesthetic
what did she mean by this?
>>
>>127980683

obviously nonsense but what does that have to do with Taylor Swift's albums?

maybe pre-1980s but after that the norm became 2 years between albums, also albums became longer (hers are around 60min though the last one is just 42min)
>>
>>127980363
Sometimes I wonder what kind of brain-rotted degenerate listens to this shit. But then I remember women exist.
>>
>>127982634
that's true. her fans must be burned out by now
>>
>>127980363
Strike while the iron is hot. If you're on top of the world, makes sense to capitalize on that, because it won't last.
>>
>>127980872
Most songs back then were covers, standards or written by some studio musician. Of course it's not like most pop stars write their own music today either, but there's a much higher demand for originality. It's funny looking up some old song and there's like 20 different renditions by different artists, nowadays cover albums are seen as a novelty.
>>
>>127982634
>>127983731
Not to mention the eras tour (and the movie from the tour) during the end of the streak.
I figured she'd be gone for a while after the tour ended, but here she is breaking records yet again.

I think I've been saying for the last ten years that her next album will be a failure which will make her do a "back to my roots" album which will have critiques raving, but fans not caring and then start to fade off from there.
But it looks like that won't happen any time soon.
>>
>>127984104
>But it looks like that won't happen any time soon.
Eh, she'll still be big for a while, but I think she'll be on a Madonna trajectory within five years, where no one will have forgotten her when it comes to pop between 2010-2025, but she'll become more of legacy act where she'll be able to sell out shows but be mystifyingly absent from more and more discussions. If you look at Madonna's trajectory, she started blowing up in 84-85, and held everyone's attention until about 2003.
>>
>>127984186
Difference is, Madonna was almost 30 when she became popular.
>>
>>127981577
>Except Elton had YBR and Captain Fantastic
Not in the 80s-90s he didn't.
>>
>>127984212
Madonna also knew tons about Broadway, torch songs, and classic Hollywood and was her own boss after album one. Swift doesn't have a sound of her own, only whatever producer she has atm nor does she have any similiar cultural education and Blank Space was seriously the most self-aware song she's ever made.
>>
>>127984212
I'm not following, what do you have in mind about that?
>>
>>127984267
I despise Swift, but I don't think it's true that she's merely nodding her head to her producers. She seems to come to them with some acoustic or piano demo and they flesh it out accordingly.
>>
>>127984287
That just about puts her on the level of Stevie Nicks where she came up with some doodle of a lyric on a cocktail napkin while high and relied on her bandmates to flesh it out.
>>
>>127983239
Sometimes I wonder what kind of brain-rotted degenerate posts this shit. But then I remember incels exist.
>>
>>127984075
the standards/covers era was more like 3 albums a year (Sinatra, Elvis...etc), 1 album a year was from the late 60s to early 80s I think
>>
>>127984075
back then you were expected to be a jack of all trades who could perform in almost any style
>>
>>127983764
Michael Jackson or even Adele did the exact opposite though (disappear for years between albums)
>>
>>127980363
Because good artists sift through the dogshit and only record what’s good, she records every shitty nursery rhyme that pops in her head. Also not music get this shit off the board.
>>
>>127984267
pretty sure Madonna never wrote an entire album
>>
>>127984535
>Because good artists sift through the dogshit and only record what’s good, she records every shitty nursery rhyme that pops in her head
that's like solo McCartney when there was nobody to tell him to not record whatever garbage he hummed in the shower
>>
>>127984497
You could do a standards album, a gospel album, a country covers album, a bossa nova album, a Christmas album. The anything goes nature of 50s-60s music is quite fascinating in a way.
>>
>>127980363
Damn taytay getting old desu
>>
at this point she's reduced to scams like 25 alternate label covers and her days as a top 10 hitmaker are done
>>
>>127980872
yeah and they were full of filler and i say this as someone who champions the full album experience (when they're good)

good hits can be made yearly but good albums take time
>>
>>127980363

BECAUSE SHE IS LUCRATIVE, THEREFORE, THEY WRITE AND PRODUCE AS MUCH SLOP FOR HER TO PERFORM AS IS POSSIBLE, BEFORE SHE BECOMES TOO OLD AND STALE.
>>
>>127980382
>35
>young
Quite literally middle aged
>>
>>127988233
This.
Her ticket sales are high because she's the only pretty White girl artist for White girls to project themselves onto and they have a lot of spending power. They made the swiftie cult to market this meme into reality. Just keep pumping out huge tour after huge tour...

Touring is where the real money is made.
>>
>>127980363
Easy to do when your lyrics and music are written by hirelings. She could release 100 albums in a year
>>
>>127988233
>BEFORE SHE BECOMES TOO OLD AND STALE
>before she becomes too old and stale
>>
>>127980363
Apparently these promo shots along with the video for The Life of Ophelia were filmed in Vancouver? Pretty based.
>>
>>127980363
Her music is made by a coorporate-like team of producers, writers, etc. She just needs to show up and sing whatever bland bullshit they created like a focus group. She probably works less hard than most musicians.
>>
>>127980363
>shoes
why did Taylor betray us
>>
>>127981179
>best selling artist of the year
>downfall
if that's a downfall by your metric, I wonder what do you feel about your life, which never even had a peak to begin with
>>
>>127990476
she bought her own shit, the labels bots stream it, she's a nobody and the last real hit she had was Shake it Off
music is dead, don't believe reddit hype and celebrity bullshit propaganda
>>
>>127984287
There is an interview from Folklore where she would just sent lyrics in a text and they would write music to go with them, and tweak them as needed.
>>
No normies have ever heard an album past 1989.
>>
>>127990576
>buy your own stuff
incredible business model, any other retarded ideas you have to share with the class?
>>
she basically admitted she never listened to music as a kid outside 2000s top 40 so her only reference points are Avril Lavigne and Fallout Boy
>>
>>127991286
it's worth it for the clout
you legitimately believe Drake and Taylor Swift's record labels don't manipulate Spotify? You think it's organic that 40 year old artists on major labels with the biggest contracts just happen to be number one?
There was never a time pre-internet when 40 year old dinosaurs continued to dominate the charts
this isn't exclusive to pop/rap. Foo Fighters, RHCP... the whole music industry is a house of cards, it's all fake. the money is in product placement in music videos and social media posts. Nobody makes a red cent off streaming or record sales
>>
>>127991421
>There was never a time pre-internet when 40 year old dinosaurs continued to dominate the charts
lots of 60s boomers like McCartney, Clapton, Elton John etc had hits for many years past their prime sometimes all the way into the 90s
>>
>>127991421
idk where you think Drake and Swift are still dominating anything since neither have had a relevant hit since last decade
>>
>>127991523
exactly what I'm saying. and they dominate Spotify charts, because guess what, the big labels control what dominates so obviously they are going to make sure they milk their aging products that they own the most of and have invested the most in, even if nobody actually hears the music, because as I said before, music industry has collapsed many years ago, nobody makes money and they are desperate to squeeze what they can out of it while it lasts
>>
>>127991540
>>127991421
No one but Pajeets cares about Spotify though.
>>
>>127991544
^This. Any time I hear talk of streaming numbers or AI I assume it's Pajeets and that it can be safely dismissed out of hand.
>>
>>127991544
>>127991569
that's exactly what I'm saying. all this shit is fake, streaming, radio... nobody listens to music anymore. It's just not a thing because why would it be? You can't make money off of it
I was alive when radio and MTV were a thing, when music was a thing. It's not a thing anymore
There is no music industry, Taylor Swift's business is being a celebrity. she's a vessel for commercials and nothing more.
>>
>>127991569

in the 90's the number one hit record would sell 1 million in a week, now the number one hit record sells like 30k in a week
you can't find an actual recording artist who would say the record business is on an upward trend

the amount of retards itt saying "she has a team writing the songs" while it's blatantly untrue is fascinating, our new post-truth reality ig

She's not responsible for any of the music.

you're right, musicians make more money off selling records than they did before streaming. I mean, look at the chart you posted
