We have a more than evident future approaching in which we will witness the shilling of countless artists and bands whom do not exist. AI-generated instruments with false voices that will be indistinguishable from reality. Entire albums and records at an identical quality of today's releases created in seconds, shilled by labels and algorithms valuing nothing but profits. There will popstars whom don't exist. Or talentless joes made to sound like one to get rich quick. Emulating their voice, using instant flawless production software, sovlful lyrics by a language model trained on every song to ever exist. Zero giveaways of being artificial. Masking the lack of effort like a snapchat filter over zits. Everyone regardless of skill or talent or knowhow will be able to make the same art we once valued. There will be a movement many years from now in a similar mentality to being amish, in-which people will choose to un-plug out of the respect for the integrity of art and humanity. It won't be the majority, average people are fine with good enough, sensibly choosing what their wallets and attention can afford. Cheap and quick McDonald’s over a gourmet meal.Real experience will be the sole way to know what is real and what is slop. Tracks will be meaningless if you cannot reproduce them on an acoustic instrument and your own voice. Genres with an emphasis of mastering physical instruments will be favored by this. Remember this.
>>127981693its been the music age of slop for decades now, they are just going to be able to pump out even more soulless drivel at record pace. popular music tongues my anus.
>>127981693>AI-generated instrumentswhat music isnt already made by Pro Tools today?
>>127981693>slopStopped reading right fucking there
Not my problem. Even if music was outlawed tomorrow my backlog is enough to listen until I die. Anyway I don't give a shit how it's made; if it sounds good, it's good. It won't stop me from jamming with my friends either.
There is nothing we can do about it.
this concept already exists, its called gorlliaz.personally i dont care, music is dead because of poptmism, i wont be sad if white pop sluts and mumbling negroes lose thier jobs
>>127981693You're wrong. AI will be able to produce music so far beyond the abilities of humans that millions of people will be completely emotionally enslaved to it. You fail to understand what this technology truly is and what is meant by the words "the scaling laws still are not bending".
>>127983090Gorillaz still had real musicians behind the band
>>127984091In what way will it produce music beyond the abilities of humans? In complexity? The music we make today already is less complex than what it used to be because the average person does not like complexity. Even the best AI will be severely limited by the tastes of the average person and will produce something identical to what is made now.
Got more respect for someone writing lyrics to an AI song than a hip hop artist singing a song about girl power written by 15 dudes that beat their bitches
The monkey has made up his mind
