I recently watched a video which discussed how the lack of beauty in contemporary society has stripped us of what it means to be human and has essentially invoked our animal nature. In it, she mentions the Bauhaus movement in architecture and how it promoted ugly design as a way of rebelling against royalist and capitalist cultural norms. However, this movement soon became elitist and many of its thinkers became high-ranking intellectuals. Plus, the "worker housing" that the movement innovated soon became taken up by rich yuppies and was unaffordable to actual workers. Here is the video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v9guw6McwbkI couldn't help but notice the strong overlap between the story of the Bauhaus and the story of rap music. Hip hop began as a subversive movement. It was originally made by poor black kids in the ghetto. It mocked everyone and everything. It showed a world that most middle-class whites didn't want to see. Now, hip hop is itself highly elitist. Jay-Z, Kanye West, and Diddy are some of the most powerful people in the music industry. NWA had a film made about them. Wu Tang sold an exclusive album for $2 million. Nas performs with orchestras, which ghettoized blacks in Queens can't see. J Dilla's music is taught in elite universities that your average black kid in Detroit can't afford to attend, not to mention he has music theory books written about him by academic elites. Kendrick Lamar won a Pulitzer Prize for DAMN.. Clipse just performed at the Vatican. We can talk about how much rap has been commodified but the cultural effect is much deeper. Rappers and hip hop producers are clearly the darlings of the elites and have become elites themselves.
>>127981770>Clipse just performed at the Vatican.kek i didnt know they got back together>Rappers and hip hop producers are clearly the darlings of the elites and have become elites themselves. Not necesarily, alot of rappers outside of those big ones are basically just slaves to record companies. black people are really entertaining to the white upperclass (And to most normies in general really) and they probably enjoy their attempts at immitating them
>>127981770>Jay-Z, Kanye West, and Diddy are some of the most powerful people in the music industry.>actually believing this
>>127981872She's one of those TradCath grifters.
Beat the Headphone steal the sound copy the colour scratch the rails
>>127981770you're the "hip hop is CIA" tankie right?

>>127981886That's no longer a rumour but a confirmed fact.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0TbmoIGcVF0
>>127981886It is, though. Just like the rest of the "industry."
>>127981770Hip hop promotes quintessentially Nietzschean values so yes.
>>127981770This is trash grifter slop and she's onlyfans tier, rightoids know nothing about beauty. I'm partial to the message but you're not the messengers, you're sub-human
>>127982002I'm not the girl in the video.
>>127981770>riddled with pederasts, homosexuals, unfaithful women and men, hidden offspring, engages in pointless feuds for the sake of their name, and society turns a blind eye to the costs of catering to themYup, they're aristocrats.
>>127981872Good for her and the kingdom of God! And may many more see the light!

>>127982085/thread
>>127982085This is exactly my (OP's) point. Rappers behave exactly like the old aristocracy.>>127982103What do you mean by "people?" Catholics? Jews? What?
>>127981812They're all billionaires. Billionaires have power.

>>127981800>Not necesarilyThe whole relation seems pathetic. Like Hillary Clinton and "hot sauce". The elites have no actual liking or care for anything they're promoting on that end.
>>127982327There is a distinction between real billionaires and fake (borrowed) billionaires. Puff Daddy going to prison indicates that he wasn't a real billionaire, since the government never goes after actual elites.
>>127982928Diddy got a slap on the wrist.
>>127985366Because they had nothing on him, everyone involved in that freak off consented to doing it.
>>127986101They didn’t charge him with the pedophile stuff.

>>127981886The CIA still has a lot of control over popular culture.
>>127981872How does she feel about Clipse performing at the Vatican?
trappings of power the meme
the modern day aristocracy is corporations, particularly tech corporations, and government organizations which are people
>>127981770Yes and like all aristocrats, it's been artificially propped and pumped into our faces until it's forced meme for quality.Everyone in the industry HATES Beyonce but somehow, companies are forced to work for her because she has way more money to throw around, despite not being able to fully sell out tours in literal decades. The government props up rappers to promote criminal activity to poor people to fuel the private prison industry and the stocks are owned by government officials.
>>127982103>>127982002
>>127982085Definitely. I work in the industry and the shit these absolutely worthless people get up too is mind blowing. Again, it never feels like they're worth it, it feels like money is being flung at them for ulterior purposes.
>>127986158because there is nonediddy likes big buffed adult men not kids
>>127981770A lot of rappers are a modern day atrocity - probably all of them but not as much as the mindless drones listening
>>127989616He buckbroke Bieber though?
>>127986101They only focused on Cassie and 50 Cent’s baby mama. They didn’t focus on all the satanic Illuminati stuff.
>>127981770Every cultural elite was cucked out of their livelihood and running on fumes since 2019. They tried to recapture their gains with Covid segued into George Floyd riots but no serious person bought in so they're basically dead men walking now.
>>127981770This is literally every originally subversive cultural movement. Punk had the same thing happen to it albeit on a much smaller scale. Go to any underground punk show and you'll see it's 80% trust fund kids in the audience who think they're anarchists because they read Kropotkin once in college.
>>127981886Ur glowing
>>127989616This is a complete lie. He was trafficking children just like epstein this is fact
>>127981770>>127981872I want War on Beauty girl to make a video trashing hip hop and music sampling.
>>127981770White liberals have always loved promoting this talentless garbage music genre
>>127981770>. J Dilla's music is taught in elite universities that your average black kid in Detroit can't afford to attend, not to mention he has music theory books written about him by academic elites. Kendrick Lamar won a Pulitzer Prize for DAMN..Yeah academic elites basically worship blacks.
>>127981770Promoting J Dilla that much was an attempt by libtards at making hip hop out to be serious art music and push hip hop in the direction of that, but blacks were simply too based and went into trap instead, which is far superior music to sampling(stealing) from random 60s jazz and soul records
>>127994039It's actually pretty funny how his music is loved by both high-end literati and braindead stoners and hypebeasts.
>>127994059Modern day academics are former braindead hypebeasts, all modern day high-society institutions are staffed by reddit
>>127994150Really makes you think if universities check would-be professors' reddit accounts before they offer them a tenure-track position.

>>127994059>hip hop culture — founded on a belief system of peace, love, and unityWell that didn’t last long, did it?
>>127981770While I agree with you there's similarities I don't think this comparison really works.> Plus, the "worker housing" that the movement innovated soon became taken up by rich yuppies and was unaffordable to actual workers. It's not really that. It's more that the style was in vogue but the people that employed the architects weren't really interested in funding worker housing, they were interested in funding mansions and office buildings. In the USSR the style had some general traction (they avoided the Bauhaus labels because it was western and german but they called it "modernism" or "socialist realism" and the rest was the same) but most of the ambitious projects never materialized because there wasn't enough money to fund them or because of executive/communist party meddling.> have become elites themselvesCultural influence or influence in the music industry does not convert into broad sociopolitical influence losslessly. If Beyonce decides to talk about Gaza or Ukraine or whichever political issue tomorrow, what do you think will happen? Probably some people will hear it and maybe some people that otherwise weren't exposed to political talking points will be exposed, but by and large it will be a complete non-event. If you want an example take Ukraine. Zelenskyy got himself elected on the back of his extremely popular political satire TV show. If you'd like an (imperfect) American analogy it'd be like Stephen Colbert running for president for the Dems. And by the end of 2021, he was already deeply unpopular with the approval ratings in the low double digits, because he was seen to be just as corrupt as the rest of them, and delivered no meaningful change. If it wasn't for the war with Russia that stimulated Ukrainians to "rally around the flag" and gave Zelenskyy an opportunity to re-brand himself as a wartime leader, there was no chance for his party to win a second term (he himself had already promised by then to not run again).
>>127981770>Stripping of beautyMeanwhile attractive white women can get anything they want and if they infiltrate a male dominated hobby or interest, they immediately get put on a pedestal
>>128001888As someone who works in the SWE industry, not really? For all the "we need female coders" DEI chanting in late 10s, when this was the cultural zeitgeist, it's not like the profession got raided by opportunistic women. Most of the female demographics in software companies is focused in the product/project management roles, just as it was before. There are some women coders, I've worked with some of them and those that managed to keep their jobs past their internships can actually code no worse than the average male coder - and those that couldn't got laid off no less ruthlessly than the average males. And this, again, was back when DEI was all anyone could talk about. That effectively no longer exists now.
>>127986101Imagine believing this.
