I prefer his prison era runescape synth albums

Belus is great, haven't listened to Fallen or Umskiptar much but I remember Fallen being good. Black metal still has things to learn musically from Varg.

Belus was an acceptable continuation of Hvis/Filosofem if a bit lifeless sounding
Fallen had some novelty due to the clean sung choruses but was overall a weaker album
Umskiptar is a painful dronefest as are the low-effort synth releases after

the singing on ‘Glemselens elv’ is good, and nice guitars on ‘Sverddans’.

Belus is great, Fallen meh (kind of demoish), Umskiptar: FANTASTIC. The rest I never even managed to listen to from start to finish.
