They are blatantly ripping off the style and aesthetics of better artists from the past and have gained a large amount of young and impressionable fans because people are so starved for music that isn't rap/pop slop. They aren't unique or special. And while they're not terrible, the way some people are worshipping them is just kind of annoying.
