I gave the album a chance guys. Twice actually. My problem is, there’s too much imitation on it. He can’t decide if he wants to sound like robert plant or julian casablancas or mick jagger. Sonically it doesn’t go anywhere, every song is half of an idea. It’s not terrible, but it’s not what people are saying it is. At least the millennial indie bands of the aughts who were rehashing rock from the 60s-80s had some sense of an identity. This is just too much of a collage of bands for any of it to come across as original or interesting.

"good enough" is generous for Geese, a band that mostly sounds like a throwaway rock revival band from 2003 or at worst like Jet (who p4k gave a 0.0 to, meanwhile giving Geese a 9, definitely paid for that). no one i know likes this band, listens to them, or has heard of them until this recent insane PR campaign. no one.
