What exactly does this have to do with NOT blowing 10 grand in 1 fucking day instead of utilizing 0% financing offers? Serious question. You clearly need money to pay bills in the interim, you can still get what you want without spending $10k in one go. Unbelievable.

my practice amp is all fucked up. i know it's not a guitar issue or a cable issue, but idk what exactly is wrong with the amp. the sound is very weak and it kinda fades in and out completely while im playing. fiddling with the cable doesnt seem to help. the input jack feels tight and grippy so i dont think its a loose connection. all the pots are kinda hard to turn (dont know if that's bad??) i took it apart this weekend but its like a motherboard in there and idk where to start. worth fixing or should i just buy another 10w amp?

>need $300 for car insurance
>sell your only guitar
>"ohfug, I can't play now"
>sell car
>buy an epiphone and line 6
>only 29 more days until I have to sell them too in order to pay bills
This is manic impulsive behavior and makes zero logical sense. If you can't scrape together or borrow $300 bucks, selling your car and spending every dime you have on a $1500 Cope Paul (used gibson studios are $8-900 btw, cheaper if you don't mind one that's pre-relic'd) and a Meme6 rig is only going to throttle you into a worse situation financially and mentally. He's not trolling and that's why I wish he would at the very least just get a GC gear card so he could make monthly payments at 0% interest instead of making a financial decision that would have all of section 8 housing questioning his decisions.

>>

>>
>>128006825
You're better off buying an indo version from your favorite brand rather than a chink knockoff of an unaffiliated brand. They exist solely to trick non musicians into thinking you have money to spend on guitars. Whatever a chibson might cost, yamaha has a guitar for the same price that is 10x better quality, for example.

this, people who have pride in their work typically put their name on it. chibsons are scams inside and out.

Is a guitar player expected to play shirtless?
>>
>>128006659
Every guitarist is going to have strengths and weaknesses. I can play almost any genre and solo outside of the super technical sweep picking tremolo picking shreddy stuff. I can’t play like death metal or anything with constant fast bpm due to my carpal tunnel that I’ve had surgery for. But like some of those guys can’t play the angus young / Van Halen / gilmour / Hendrix stuff I can or do boomer bends and vibrato like I can. I think you can be good in your own way and not have to play 240bpm 16th note picked solos. Or you could be able to play that but not be able to play jazz or blues to save your life. It all depends.
>>
>>128006957
How does he play that so low?
>>
I still think the neck pocket protrusion on this guitar is ugly as shit but the rest of it is really growing on me. It's tempting me to buy it. LPs just feel too good playing standing.

>>
On Thursday I’m ordering my helix stadium xl and Powercab 212 cl. I’m getting a wireless pack for my guitar and in ears. I’m going to buy 2-3 guitars for around 3000. One of them I want to be a real Gibson Les Paul but I’m not opposed to a nice studio. All the guitars will be used. I will be doing mostly cover stuff but maybe original if I find the right band. Which Gibson do I look for, and what other guitars do you guys recommend to round out a cover rig. I’m thinking a Mexican tele I can throw some custom shop broadcaster pickups in and a gotoh bridge. And then I probably need something with a Floyd which I’m thinking a charvel with Duncan JB/59 but I don’t really want a floating bridge cause it fucks with my boomer bends. Do tremel-no’s stop it from moving downward only or do they completely lock it into a hardtail? I do like the fact that the evh guitars have d-tunas if I need to do Floyd stuff with drop tunings. What you guys think?
>>
>>128008667
Oh ok so I should have googled this but the tremelno can be locked for dive only. In which case my options for Floyd guitars is open, except I’d have to carry a hex key to unlock the nut if I’m doing a drop tuned song.

You can dive only or hard tail only with tremol no. Be mindful with the tiny pin that holds it together, mine dropped lose in like a month. Probably good to put on loctite or nail polish on it. Had to replace it with a makeshift pin that isn't as tight but it still works. Check out the GG Charvel, covers most grounds with single coil emulation and the tremolno. The only one I can't make it sound convincing is the single coil neck position of a strat, it's just good enough; but there's fuckloads of cheap options for that sound.

desu, if you can find one, epiphone re-re-released the gibson nighthawk with coil splitting (firebird neck pickup so it splits into a fender-styler neck pickups) and slanted humbucker that also splits, it might be most cost effective to grab that, the nancy wilson signature. Found out that my chinese CNC guitar akschually has Alnico V bars in their faithful gibson classic PAF knockoff buckers after watching a phil mcknight video on the guitar.
Magically, I've stopped hating them and even stopped fiddling my EQ. Where I used to titty-twist my bass and mid channels, I know let everything ring sweetly at 12 o'clock. It's insane because I had a nice MiJ LP clone with SD JDs in it and now it sounds farty by comparison unless I'm playing crunch/brown distortion.
Still something super weird going on in my bridge pickup with the hollow metallic twang voicing but it's literally a taint hair from the bridge so fuck it.

Are there any other 4 string basses that come from the factory pre tuned and purpose built for B-E-A-D tuning like the Warwick Taranis?

I’d rather not. 4 strings are my thing.

something about the preamps in the lowest tier of stingrays don't have the punch of even the second tier ones. ray34 vs ray? i don't remember the models. i really don't understand what's going on but there is a huge difference between them

Have seen that one, yes. Always thought Nighthawks looked kinda cool with the slanted bucker and the funky body. Definitely a guitar I can see myself getting but at the moment, I'd rather go for the special. The LP shape is just perfect to me and I do wanna play around with p90s plus I really like how simple it is. Also don't really care about splitting desu. Both my LP studio and my Benton have splits and I never use them.

Regular OD with everything on is super distorted, kinda just sounds like farts at that point. green goblin seems more like a guitar pedal but I like the goblin on it so I'm gonna keep it.

martin luxe has a titanium core wire version but it has very bad reviews for being brittle which titanium is bad for. they sound really good i have a set kicking around. they also use their little fishing weight ends instead of ball ends i think they're actually worse, created a spot of tension where the string comes out of the casting instead of the tried and true fishing knot of a ball end string where the entire length of winding is under compression

What’s the best place to find a good Les Paul. What years should I be looking for? Should I go 59 or 60s? I plan to play mostly 90s and 2000s rock in my cover band. I had a 59 epiphone with Gibson burstbucker 2 and 3 that was okay but I’ll be honest the neck pickup was way too warm for me and I could have used more gain in the bridge sometimes. The neck was a bit too thick but that wasn’t a huge deal, also I hear epi necks are thicker for some reason than actual 50s Les Paul’s. Or should I just go for like a classic alpine white studio? I was thinking about the new epi 59 inspired by with custombuckers cause it sounds amazing but I just don’t want that shit half gloss finish or epiphone logo anymore. I want to spend around 2000 dollars on the guitar.

no, you can just slide the strings under this
don't remove it, basses vibrate so much and the strings on the headstock will make tons of buzzing noises when you play. I removed the string tree on a P-bass I have and it became unplayable due to all the buzzing. Another benefit of 2x2 headstocks instead of 4 in a line, no buzzing or string trees required.
