I guess their recent albums might have production that some people would consider to be too clean, but they have a lot of slower songs as well as chugcaviars and solosouffles. Lord Belial is probably more melodic than them. Not to mention dedicated "melo" stuff like Naglfar.

Abhorrent Contraception has like two kinda memorable themes it goes back and forth between before fading out without resolution, and even the closing track fades out on an "atmospheric" part and vanishes like a fart in the wind. And it's a crappy-sounding fadeout that goes from quiet but still audible, to suddenly silent in an instant. Terrible songwriting choices.

I've listened to all DF, it's fully tremolo picked and has like 2 solos in total. Lord Belial varies from song to song from more melodic than average DF to basic bitch slop. I like Lord Belial when they're pushing boundries and being melodic, but on average DF is almost always preferable.
