at its most meaningful, it invigorates me and helps me to appreciate being alive; it makes me want to be a better person, to be with people, to talk with them, help them, enjoy life. one's life is too complex to take away a single variable and make statements about how it would've otherwise turned out, but music is certainly one of if not the most important part of my life: if I were to go deaf tomorrow, I would be utterly devastated.

>>128051301if I had to pick one or the other, it's hard to say, but I'd probably pick being blind. I could then listen to music and learn braille for reading; as much as I enjoy visual art, I love music considerably more. if I went deaf, I'd probably still want to live, but it'd be rough.
