What compels someone to learn a wind instrument? Like you could have picked literally anything else

Yeah, God forbid someone plays something that's not guitar, bass, drums or piano.

the trumpet was the guitar of jazz

I didn’t but when I was 9 or 10 our class was brought to see Peter and the Wolf which as you may know has a clarinet, flute, oboe, horns, and bassoon and some others I’ve neglected to remember. Each instrument individually represents a unique character in the play

The oboe (and its cousin the English horn) is my second favorite instrument. Or favorite depending on mood.

the trombone had the fun dwoodly bit so you

No one needs to stick to just one instrument. And half of the ones who learned it picked it up in band class. They had a spot to fill and picked it up easy. Not everything in music revolves around whatever current shit you're jerking off to this week. It's a big world.

All of these except the saxophones are great.

The bass clarinet fucking rips

The female flutists in the high school marching band were always the biggest sluts

Recorder is the cheapest non-toy instrument. Plastic Yamaha recorder sounds great if played well.

and then the guitar became the guitar of jazz, with wide-ranging consequences.

You can play it with your asshole

Tin whistles are pretty cheap too

I just picked trombone because it was easy. Ended up being chill, it was just me and two of my boys in the back

Got any recommendation of music featuring the bass clarinet?

I already know Stravinsky's ballets, Bitches Brew by Miles Davis and some of Eric Dolphy's work, and I honestly always love hearing it pop up somewhere.

Maybe somewhere in trip hop, pretty sure some of those Bristol groups used it but it’ll probably be more simple than what you’re looking for
>>
>>128119657
I don't know much trip hop other than some Massive Attack and Portishead stuff (which I do like), I'll look into that

The answer my friend

Ive never gotten the chance to play one but I would have if I ever got musical education

I played trumpet in middle school and hated it. They made us play Louie Louie and the theme song from The Simpsons and it made me want to kill myself. To answer your question OP, it got me out of gym class.axgvx
