No matter how many albums I check out, there is never any that becomes a favorite, just "listenable". When you're a newbie to music, you keep finding favorites anywhere, but it reaches a point where that number drops to zero. I have no single AOTY, just a few good enough ones.

I often see anons commenting on how this or that albums are awesome, a 10, and then, when I go check it out, it's just another bland album, be it animal collective, arctic monkeys, or the hundreds of more obscure albums anons post, that have me wondering if it's all an inside joke (corea etc...). For some reason, people perceive sound in a different way, a person's 10/10 song, is another's 5/10, I just notice 95% of music it's a 5/10. The best part of the journey into music is the start, when you haven't even figured out what your favorite genres are.
