I'm glad I saw them while they toured for nonstop feeling because they went downhill hast after that. Seeing them play material off their first two EPs was wild.

I remember being stoked for Nonstop Feeling. I liked the album when it came out. They had a controlled chaos sorta vibe. I remember they had a real dick head friend of theirs running side stage literally throwing and kicking people off stage (prolly taking out his frustrations that his shitty local Turnstile rip off band sucked). Time and Space was cool too, but I felt they had already run their course in terms of ideas. Hardcore has this problem where the music keeps evolving, but the vocalist refuses to try anything new. Turnstile/Fucked Up are prime examples. The players have something to say but the vocalist hold them back every single time. They're hardcore or kids who like Tyler the Creator after he started dressing like in a Wes Anderson movie. Urban Outfitters hardcore. Also putting vague slogans on your shirt is fucking whack.

They're a really good band. They really aren't very heavy, but they have all these NYHC elements like the chant alongs and breakdowns, so they're basically post-hardcore, but I think what they really are is hardcore-influenced indie rock, and I honestly think that's neat. Hardcore purists keep whining about how popular they are, but I don't really give a shit.
The real thing mall grab remix is their best fucking song and I’m so disappointed there isn’t more music like that in the rest of their entire goddamn catalogue. Harsh vocals + synths is such a good combo
