Throbbing Gristle did some really interesting stuff and Genesis was a really unique artist, but I've also heard he was incredibly difficult lol, just constantly lying and manipulating. While Throbbing Gristle is cool, musically I really prefer some of their early contemporaries like SPK and Cabaret Voltaire. However, I actually met one of his closest associates, Monte Cazazza, and he was incredibly kind and extremely intelligent - he literally spent like an hour explaining the Iran-Iraq War to me. Cazazza impressed me so much that it seems like Genesis had to have been an intelligent guy too.
