In Utero but I’ve always liked Sonic Youth way more, who are the band I imagined and wanted to Nirvana to be more like than they are when I first listened to them

Kurt Cobain was definitely bright and gifted artistically, with an appreciation for more non-commercial, underground and avant-garde work.

Unfortunately it seemed he wanted it both ways with being a rockstar and an authentic artist, as well as self medicating on drugs which just compounded his problems

Unfortunately the legacy of the band beyond their obvious significance in rock music history now seems to consist of seeing normies wearing shirts of their logo as if they were a corporate brand
