its been a continual repeating cycle ever since 4chan existed. it started with the irreverent shitposty style that some people adopt occasionally in good humour being imitated by stupid people who dont realise its a joke and not how youre supposed to act all the time, which is what they started doing. then to stand out among that mess some people took it a step further, and so on, and on, until the whole place became a cesspit. as that spiral progresses the board became a less and less attractive place for people actually interested in music, who end up leaving, and that only accelerates the process.
