I'd actually say NIN's last great album was Bad Witch in 2018. Bowie thought Reznor was a genius, and I'm pretty sure NIN was one of his favorite bands of the 90s (the other being Suede).I didn't see Tron and I don't have any desire to, but that doesn't reflect on Reznor IMO. His soundtracks are literally just moody ambient music, and it was actually really good on the Social Network. Tbh while I think Reznor is a great artist, when it comes to industrial music I have a strong preference for more abrasive artists like Author & Punisher, Uniform, and Godflesh. But that doesn't reduce how great he is at all.
