Zappa has like one good album and it's not even that good. Can has at least 25 good songs of which several are 15+ minutes. CAN also does weirdness better than Zappa - no weird political posturing. Just pure aesthetic artistry. Wrong once again

It's not supposed to be repetitive. It's supposed to be jazzy, avant-garde prog music. The only Krautrock band that ever really committed to the repetition thing was NEU!, and even they make half of their records ambient.
