It takes time but it has one of the lowest skill floors of any insturment other then drums
>>

It really doesn't take that long to find c and remember that e and b don't have sharps. The alphabet and typing are like 10x more complicated and you learn that when you're like 5 and maximally retarded.

If you’re out of grade school I’d recommend just memorizing the names of the notes. There’s 12 of them, they repeat forever. Just spend 5 minutes a day memorizing them and you’ll have it down pat forever in like 2-3 days tops.

As for the position on the staff, it’s not hard to remember middle c and go from there. If you’re an octave off, and you know what the piece is supposed to sound like, you’ll figure it out and adjust quickly.

There’s several pneumonic devices for learning the treble and bass clefs. The upper and lower ledger lines both spell out ACE from low to high. You’ll get it, it’s not too hard once you’ve practiced a bit.

Lol. Nice bait.

I don't know why you would need to.

It's really just 12 notes.
One pattern repeated 8 times.
You'll learn the pattern and it's just the alphabet.
The black notes are only shorts/sharps.

a b c d e f g.

C is pretty common to find because of middle C.
The white key even looking like a C.

Really this the least of your problems.
You should be worrying about sheet music and muscle memory.
>>
you just press a key and the note plays. it's the easiest fucking instrument to play
>>
>>128280074
you actually bothered to learn the notes?
>>
>>128280175
I play the drums and I also teach the drums and piano for people. I have seen people who haven't played an instrument once pick up some sticks and play an entire AC/DC song after 1-2 lessons. It's a low skill floor instrument. But I still love it and I have spent at least 90% of my life on it
>>
>>128281467
This, if you even bother learning the notes you never had soul in the first place
>>

I'd say the cowbell is the lowest skill-floor instrument.
>>
>>128282274
No harder then drums starting out hell easy cowbell songs are harder then easy drum songs

Everyone knows drums are the lowest skilled "instrument." The joke is piano is low skilled.

You can also approach playing piano like strumming an acoustic guitar

Do you anons not know what skill floor means????
>>
It is not the worst thing in the world.

If you really want to learn, start from the lowest to the highest, play the scale of C major in order but an octave apart.

So, lowest C, next key is a D but an octave above, then an E from an octave above that. Call out each note name as you play it.

It will sound audibly wrong if you get it wrong. But it's a great way of learning.

Then mix it up. Play the C on the lowest register, then the highest D you can get, then an E octave up from that lowest C, F an octave down from that highest D, etc.

It's all memorisation of the key layout.
>>
>black keys

there are two keys C and a. Just change the pitch on your keyboard if someone else wants another key.
>>
>>128277449
yes, for any number of reasons, mostly that you really don't want to be looking at the keyboard while you play.

you really only need to memorize 7 letters. the black ("DEI") piano keys are just sharps or flats of the letters on the white keys.

The white keys are A-G, left to right. It's really not hard at all.
>>
>>128284177
also note that the letter-to-pianoKey match depends on what key you're in.

For example, if you're playing in F# major (and god help you if you are), then when you press the white key commonly called F, you're actually playing E#
>>
>>128284203
similarly, if you're playing in C# major, then the "Middle C" in OP's picture is actually B#

Piano has been a bitch for me to learn. Well, not learn, but play *well* and consistently. Before I started, I never realized how important pressure on the keys was for the sound. I know where all the notes are, I just struggle getting consistent volume. Like a significantly harder time than I have getting the right feel for other instruments, like guitar and bass.
>>
>>128277449
I learned it by looking for groups of black keys
