Bump for interesting thread
I cannot honestly offer any real assistance, since my knowledge of Gaelic amounts to nothing (I’m American) and my interests in Scottish music are moreso in pipe music (especially piobaireachd) and instrumental trad. However, some of the album you posted does remind me of Slim Whitman’s Irish records; I cannot recommend these enough although they are Irish Tin Pan Alley songs moreso in the country vein and of course sung by an American.
