i really liked the new rosalía single, berghain, and how big and tragic it sounds, especially the choir/instrumental parts. where can i find more music like it? ive been interested in more contemporary classical stuff too, so please recommend those as well!
>>128283524You should know that song is a pathetic Zbigniew Preisner rip-off.
>>128283532oh, i didnt know about that. i only got the reference to three colors blue with the sugarcube thing in the video, but didnt make the connection to preisner. i'll look into his music, thanks.

>>128283524I'm actually wondering the same thing. I am admittedly an NPC and only listen to popular music. I love "Berghain" and tons of normies like myself are loving it. It's my favorite song Rosalia has ever made. I saw some people saying "This song is only good for people who have no knowledge of classical music." So I'm curious what true music nerds think of this song. They'll probably say it's slop compared to contemporary classical stuff, but that's fine. I'm open to reading criticisms because I'm ignorant and want to learn.
>>128283524>>128285265I'LL LEAVE SOME ENTRY LEVEL BUT GOOD RECOMMENDATIONS.THAT ARE RATHER SIMILAR TO WHAT YOU'VE BEEN LOOKING FOR>HÄNDELhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z6_L0EqAC_w>BACHhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c3x-MlcY3y4>MENDELSSOHNhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K3kA0njcA0I>VIVALDIhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3KRZ4mmp540>BERLIOZhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G23hbnN7Os0>MOZARThttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=latf7OY3TS4>FAURÉhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MoDEnItkc6I
>>128285446Thank you!
>>128285265Have you seen those beer ads with generic and overproduced rock music playing in the background? Well, this is the “classical” equivalent of that. Except for the fact that this music is used in pretentious perfume commercials.
>>128286392Ohh. That's an interesting way to view it. So you are mostly criticizing the music and not Rosalia's singing? I remember reading that Rosalia is classically trained and studied for over 10 years.
>>128286798nta but i've dogged on this song elsewhere on this board and that's my take, her singing is fine enough but the music itself is vapid and sounds very commercial and mass-market. as has been said elsewhere, if you hear strings and instantly think "wait, is this mozart??" then it might be more impressive
