I produce music but I'm not about to fag advertise it here like certain soulless faggets

Anytime I see threads shilling, it's just so obvious, the whole thing about advertising on a mongolian basket weaving forum masking as an anon shitpost site leaves a bad taste in the mouth like tooth crowns leaking metals on the tongue, despicable, with no pride without taste

How do they sleep preying on an anon board shilling, it's literally despicable when they got bots to do this on accessible mainstream platforms.

thank you. you're right. i worked on vocals last night. it's really coming together. the hardest part of finishing an album (for me) is the final stretch. i get neurotic about everything. if i'm being honest, i'm 90% of the way there. i just need to buckle down and get it done. motivation runs dry around this phase. but work is a bit slow right now, so i'd better get it while the gettin' is good

>>128290307
God forbid anyone on a MUSIC board actually make their own music, right? you'd probably prefer 18 kpop threads per day, huh? you like the status quo, yeah? go act like you know shit on RYM, dork. and for the record, i don't make shillthreads. leave that to benefaggot over in NJ

>What are you listening to this week?
Kuroyume, Luna Sea, Nile and Immolation
>Are ya winning, son?
No
>Are you actually looking forward to any new music?
uhhhhh the new Oneohtrix Point Never is the only thing on my radar at the moment
>>
>What are you listening to this week?
Mainly rootsy classic rock from roughly '68-'74, most recently listen was No Other by Gene Clark

>Are ya winning, son?
Y-yes dad

>Are you actually looking forward to any new music?
I have no interest in new music, but I have three CDs coming in the mail
>>
>What are you listening to this week?
The new 1 800 pain album this friday. Best new music friday in a while! :)
>>
>What are you listening to this week?
Depends on the day. Right now my minimal techno playlist
>Are ya winning, son?
At vidya? No I'm permastuck at d3 on Nightreign
>Are you actually looking forward to any new music?
Not that I know of it all sux yeep they don't make em like they used to
>>
>>128290307
Without advertisement, almost any music just dies in obscurity. It's a cruel truth, and so in light of that, I just don't see how it's a despicable thing.
>>
>>128289728
>What are you listening to this week?

Pic related: what I've been bingeing on this week plus all month long.

>Are ya winning, son?

If only. I lost 44 lbs. in 11 months so far, so there's that. Been taking creatine for a week and already starting to see results in my lifts.

>Are you actually looking forward to any new music?

Yes. The Protomen's Act III will be released this coming January, and I'm very hyped.

How old are all of you anyway? Do you have any favorite solo artists? Any favorite bands? Favorite songs you've been bingeing on lately? Tell me more.

Me: late 30s.

I'm going to a Halloween party tonight. There might be karaoke. What's my chances of alluring a mate if I do Guillotine, Takyon or I've Seen Footage? Or will I just embarrass myself?

Currently listening to my favorite Horna album.
I’m 31, not balding, and training for a 2:45 marathon so I’m at least not losing.
Looking forward to the new Kaevum split because

>How old are all of you anyway?
Turning 33 in a few weeks

Do you have any favorite solo artists?
My all-time favourite is Charlie Feathers, a literal-who rockabilly singer from the 50's

Any favorite bands?
Probably the Stones right now, though I mainly just listen to their Jimmy Miller-produced albums

Favorite songs you've been bingeing on lately?
I'm not one to binge on the same song repeatedly, but I've been coming back to this one a few times over the past week

I like that tune. Very soulful. I could bore others to death with my undying infatuation, but I want to hear others. Ron Davies is outside my zone of familiarity, but what you posted is delightful.
>>
>>128291200
>How old are all of you anyway?
35

>Do you have any favorite solo artists?
Owen, Bert Jansch, Squarepusher, Venetian Snares, Burial

>Any favorite bands?
A grab bag across a few genres would be: Interpol, The Strokes, The Smiths, The Jazz Messengers when Art Blakey and Wayne Shorter were in it, Miles Davis' first great quintet, the Bill Evans Trio variant with Eddie Gomez, Boards of Canada, Cult of Luna, Meshuggah, Krallice, Dysrhythmia, Necrophagist, Nile, Mastodon, Do Make Say Think, Mogwai, 16 Horsepower, Wilco, Rachel's

>Favorite songs you've been bingeing on lately?
Bill Evans Trio - Re: Person I Knew
Joe Henderson - Blue Bossa
Boards of Canada - Music Is Math
Nile - Sacrifice Unto Sebek
Daedelus - At My Heels
dredg - Bug Eyes

>Tell me more.
Life isn't what I thought it would be, but I'm surviving. I'm engaged and a lot of my friends are single and seem like they just want to drink and do drugs forever, I just don't know if they're going to stay at that life stage forever or move on and become boring later.

Glad you liked it anon

I had never heard of him until last week, found him because I was browsing albums that featured backup vocals by https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Blackberries

I really like the faux-gospel tinge their voices added to the songs they were on
>>
>>128291515
I'm afraid my tastes are fairly far removed from yours.

>Life isn't what I thought it would be

Tell me about it. The midlife crisis sucks ass.

>>128291554
Funny how you can discover something by complete chance and it just grabs you. It's how I discovered my darling. My gym plays absolute slop, but then, she came on and changed everything. Since then, I've become properly obsessed. I even got my mother into her.

I'm, of course, talking about my darling here:

funny you say 'cus trying to think... pretty sure I was discovering Bark Psychosis (Hex) around that time... maybe Spiderland too... can also remember jamming This Will Destroy You back then too (pretty meh on this one these days)... I forget when I started checking Mogwai exactly, probs back then as well
>>
>>128293513
Spiderland and Hex were huge online back in the 00s, especially Spiderland, I also found them around that time too, EITS was also considered cool until more bands started copying them, so I heard The Earth, The Rescue and How Strange, Innocence around then too

>What are you listening to this week?
A bit of everything, mostly Outsider House, Shoegaze and Psychedelic Rock
>Are ya winning, son?
Doing alright. Stable job, financially stable, enjoying time with my friends and hobbies. Playing gigs with my band every month or so. No dating life at the moment (had a few experiences in my 20s), but I feel like I missed that boat a long time ago. Sometimes it eats me up inside and sometimes I don't care at all, you know how it goes.
>Are you actually looking forward to any new music?
Always, I follow lots of artists & bands on bandcamp and I use a RYM-esque website in my native language

Tommy Oeffling

The latest album by Austrian stoner rock band Khan, my AOTY so far.
