I'm pretty sure that it is not hidden at all and that it sounds like Alice in chains instead, black Sabbath influence is huge for sure.

I don't think Jerry gets enough appreciation as a guitarist. His solos have some good taste

Beach Boys Harmony & Melody

Vocal layers: Jerry Cantrell and Layne Staley used rich, stacked vocal harmonies, often in close intervals (thirds and fifths). That’s straight out of the Beach Boys playbook — just darker in tone.

Melodic sensibility: Even in songs like Down in a Hole or No Excuses, there’s a tunefulness that echoes ’60s pop craftsmanship, only filtered through sludge and gloom.

Contrast of light and dark: The Beach Boys used sunny harmonies to mask deep melancholy (Pet Sounds); Alice in Chains did the inverse — beautiful harmonies in a bleak emotional landscape.

you fucking retard
thanks for making an AiC thread though. and that is in fact their best album.
>>
>>128313798
I'm going to bet that AI would say that about any combination of bands.
>>
>>128313808
Just because AIC used vocal harmonies doesn't mean they are the same as the fucking Beach Boys. Beach Boys weren't the first with vocal harmonies.
>>
>>128315710
how bout the everly brothers?
>>
harmonies are closer to csny
>>
>>128309375
Droning, mumble, heroin rock is junk.
