For me, it's Country Life. The best Roxy Music album.
>>
I've never listened to Roxy Music. What kind of music do they play?

Roxy

RnB with guitars.

odd art-rock
it's really hard to describe, there's nothing quite like it
their debut is my favorite, but Country Life is also brilliant, and maybe the best introduction to the band's sound
>>

Debut, siren, and Avalon are their best albums. Everything else is middling and contains lots of boring, forgettable stuff
>>
>>128315340
For Your Pleasure, Stranded and Country Life are their best, RETARD!
>>
>>128315533
this but also siren
>>
I like Manifesto
Still Falls The Rain is incredible
>>
>>128313960
boring britpop, one of the most overrated bands to come out of the UK and would be absolutely forgotten had morrissey not sucked their dick
>>
i jerked off to this album cover when i was a kid and found my dads records
>>
>>128316078
>morrissey
You realize every new wave and post-punk from that era loved Roxy Music, right, retard?
>>
>>128313960
Glam rock
But like, really really fucking good art glam rock that slid into chamber pop and boderline prog territory occasionally. Bowie and early Sparks were the only things that came close. For Your Pleasure and Country Life are phenomenal albums.

Their first five albums can go head up with any five-album-run you could care to mention… just an unimpeachable discography.

You're thick. Fuck off.

Don't forget Viva. Possibly the best live rock album.
>>
Everyone hates Flesh and Blood except me

It's mid.

listen to Avalon, all the way through, and try to describe what kind of music it is.
>>

>Roxy Music
>britpop
You missed by a couple decades there, chief.

He's wrong, but to be honest, a lot of Britpop was influenced by this. It's definitely not too different from at least Suede and Pulp, in the grand scheme of things.
>>
>>128313960
its fun

Pompous lame anti-rock
>>
I know Avalon is mainly a Brian Ferry album, but damn its good.
>>
>>128322988
How is this anti-rock, you colossal faggot?
