I love the song "Someday" by Sugar Ray. To me it sounds like being in a field of sunflowers on a pleasant, partly cloudy spring day. No other song captures this feeling, not even other light, acoustic pieces with similar chords, it's just a weird combination of his voice/lyrics and musical accompaniment
>>128318513It's a beautiful song, Anon. I wish I had better memories of it...To me, I'll always associate it my first serious relationship, which eventually devolved into a weak, limping thing that became miserable, and probably took a lot of my innocence. The song reminds of when things were first starting and good, where we could spend days together cooped inside; when I played Katamari Damacy for the first time on her PS2, and got sick eating sour skittles, and we lied in her bed together humming songs while it stormed outside...I don't know her anymore. And I don't want to either. As far as I know, she's probably dead to kidney disease, or close to it. I wasn't sticking around for that. I thought the disease would make her nicer, I thought she would appreciate all the care I gave her... but she didn't. It just made it her more bitter, meaner, and miserable. Like a bottomless black hole. Three whole years of my life I'll never get back. But...I still think about that day sometimes. I still sometimes miss who I was back then, and... however it might have ended, how nice it felt for a time.>And fade away...>And fade away...>And fade away...>And fade away...

It also reminds me of a time when I was younger and dumber, and the relationships I had were simpler. >I don't know her anymore. And I don't want to either. It sounds like you were at least able to move on from that, sometimes it's nobodies fault, and you're not at fault for moving on. I hate how complicated it can be sometimes to make things less complicated than they need to be
>>128318713Well, life goes on, eh? I have moved on, and I like who I am now more in a lot of ways. I'm also with someone much more pleasant, I just hope it lastsHere, as a token for listening to my woes, a song that I think kinda matches the wistful, nostalgic vibe of the threadhttps://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Z43fsOIKoS4&pp=ygUPaGVhcnQgZnJlZXRlbXBv>A broken heart just needs some time left to bleed>A heart is best when it is kind, warm, and sweet>An open heart will never lie, you see>So please believe>That we were meant to be
>>128318513thanks for introducing me to the song, it really does sound like that

>>128319868This. The gentleman’s Sugar Ray pick.
>>128318513I will always say “When It’s Over” perfectly captures that whole “Frutiger Aero” thing
>>128318513Good song but this pic reminds me of that Stone Temple Pilots CD
>>128319734I remember this song being huge on the radio in the late 90s and early 2000s. When It's Over was another big one, I still hear that one being played at supermarkets for some reason. Kinda wild that their last album was in 2019. Their first album was also kind of insane too but nobody remembers them for this soundhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_VL5LV9PVZ8
