The modern day Mozart
>>128320056His music sucks ass just like Mozart indeed. But no, Taylor Swift is the mosern Mozart. Because Mozart was a celebrity in his time, alongside the shitry msuic, just like Taylor Swift.Jacob Collier is too niche
>>128320056>>128320130he solved music.
>>128320056Why is every image of him a completely face on shot?
Then what about this guy?
>>128320056>>128320147Like many others I don't love his recorded musicBut music has benefitted from his existence
>>128320147He solved the following...>>128320567Yeah, at least kids now know that talent alone doesn't mean shit.

>>128321609>literal autism puzzle piece guitar
>>128321648That's just marketing
He truly is a genius of sort, he bases his songs around really complicated music theory and it ends up sounding like elevator music, can YOU do that?
>>128321609sonichu ass guitar
>>128320056who
>>128322409Is elevator music the endgame of music?
always found it quite astonishing how he is one of the most talented musicians on earth yet he cant compose to save his life.

Modern day queef fart
WIGGLE WIGGLE WIGGLE
>>128320130>Mozart was a celebrity in his timeNo, he wasn't, lol. You're historically and musically illiterate, so no wonder you got filtered by Mozart like the biggest midwits.
>>128320306probably cause they're all meticulously planned and not organic much like his music
>>128320686the opposite actually. if you're a talentless hack all the study and practice in the world will only make you mediocre
>>128324756Except he's a talented hack
>>128325036that's what I meant
>>128322409Steely Dan did it first
>>128325141interesting...show me a Steely Dan song that has complicated music theory and sounds like elevator music
>>128323604Mozart WAS a celebrity in his time. Not as much as he is today, but he was about as famous as it was possible for a musician to be in his time. And Jacob Collier is also by no means a young man anymore. He hasn't made anything close to the level of Idomeneo, Don Giovanni, or The Marriage of Figaro, which Mozart had already made by the time he was Collier's age. Fuck, he's barely made anything listenable. It's absurd to think he's today's Mozart.
Used to hate him, but I saw a lot of his live performances and that's when he finally clicked for me. He's one of those "humanist" types of artists if that makes sense, bro works with a lot of childrens music groups and is a huge advocate for music education and I honestly respect him for it. It also helps me understand his sound more, it's meant to be a more impressionistic type of sound, one that is almost primal in its appeal.
>>128325172>impressionistic type of sound, one that is almost primal in its appeal.huh
>>128325156literally all of Aja and Gaucho
>>128320056ok
>>128325163it's the Mozart we deserve
>>128322947I like his rendition of In the Bleak Midwinter. Collier makes me kind of mad, cause there are a lot of little things here and there that I really like, but his entire persona and the type of music that he spends his time making I think are really dumb
