listened to this for the first time back in 2014, thought it was the best thing I've ever listened to. just listened to it again, and it still is
I first listened to it in 2004. There are better albums but this is my favorite Beatles album for sure.

It's like a 7/10, the A side paul mccartney songs are weak, the B side john lennon songs are weak. And while the long medley has it's moments, it's honestly kind of cheap how they threw together throwaway songs or musical passages and called it a medleyOther than that the songs are good or great

>>128334716For me this always felt the most polished album from the beatles, feels like they took the production finesse of the sgt pepper era and applied it to a more straight rock sound (which i always felt that should have stuck to more often.) You never give me your money and the later parts of the medley are for me one of the best things they ever did. It really sounds great even today. Overall though I would still pick revolver and white album over it in terms of personal enjoyment
