ITT: "meme" bands that are actually really good
Starting with The Darkness who is actually a great band

The singer is based because he literally does not give a fuck and called out the cringe Yunglud forcing shit. Deservedly so

>Responding, he clarified that his comments had nothing against Harrison as a person, nor his drive. “I don’t think I criticised Yungblud’s spirit. I admire that as much as the next person. What I was saying was that it comes off like a TV personality doing rock.”

>“All of this posturing is Jim Morrison meets the bloke from Stone Temple Pilots meets everybody else who’s ever owned a pair of leather trousers,” he continued. “It’s 101 School of Rock stuff, you know? It’s the latest in a long line of – I’m sorry to say it – poseurs…"
lmao this dude is based for this

Good answer

I was gonna say this too, but I don’t really go back to them a lot. Their old stuff for sure though, like Tight and Frankenstein Girls

Self-titled is unironically amazing. You don't need to go beyond Rebel. The last two albums were mid with the exception of a few songs. It's gay that Jimmy has basically retired the band. His solo shit was good too. Marriage and children ruin artists.

Why are they a meme band?
>>
>>128342396
Their biggest hit "I believe in a thing called love" was the meme song of the 2000s

Yeah that’s true but it doesn’t make the band a meme band. People know the song more than the band I’d say, OP should say band that had one meme hit song or something
