>>128340954Daughter is their best song.
>>128340954Dogshit band. Vedder is a faggot. Mcready thinks he is hendrix (hendrix is shit). I don't care to remember the other faggots names. Cameron never should have joined but I think he's gone now so thats good.
>>128340954Good band best band of the 90's in my opinion. One of my favorite bands.
Can’t stand them. No edge, annoying vocals, corny band overall
>>128340954they're good if you pretend they all died in a plane crash in 1994
Pretty good band but hipster types have always hated them
They hardly ever enter my head. Most of my life has been forgetting that they exist. I do not own 1 single pearl jam album or single either. They were / are good. Very lucky individuals to function together, get each other and make music.
Weird how only Eddie looks like a typical slacker rock muso, and all the others could be accountants or SQL coders.
>>128340954Just picked up Vs on cd yesterday for $3
I often hum Even Flow when I piss
>>128341111Checkendon.
>>128340954Eddie Vedder is the only grunge singer still alive, which is cool. I think Ten is a great album and Vs and Vitalogy are good albums. Don't care for anything they did after Vitalogy as the stuff I've heard from them after Vitalogy is boring garbage. My main gripes with them as a band is some of their music sounds generic and boring. PJ and Soundgarden were the only grunge bands I liked never cared for Nirvana or Alice in Chains.

>>128340960beat me to it
>>128341146I don't even like nirvana. You thought you were smart. Lmao
It must be tough because you're playing to arenas of 12000+ and they all want to hear moderate rock. You just can't start playing oompah music. Whilst at the same time . . . . . . once you've recorded a perfect 60s/70s rock album, that's it. That's what it would sound like. Do it again? It's going to sound pretty similar.
>>128341244Uh huh
Slayer and The Rolling Stones worked it out. I guess blur did too actually. Marilynn Manson as well really, he could keep it going. It can't be easy.
Their reviews are good. Dark Matter should be a good album.
>>128340954Bizarrely enough, I think they were rated right back in the 90s / early 00s, but I think the zoomers of today couldn't get into their music. They got many amazing songs like Rearviewmirror (which is basically emo like The Promise Ring), but their boomer soloing style and Vedder's idiosyncratic vocal style alienates newer listeners from them, I think. They're very good alternative rock musicians, but I think alt. rock as a genre is dead now because the essence of it was just being normal and relatable, while today's musicscape is completely dominated by tryhards in pretty much all major genres.
>>128340954Ten is one of the best albums of the 90s and just a GOAT album regardless of time, place and genre - the songs are kind of ageless whereas a lot of stuff from that era sounds so dated nowIt's also mind-blowingly good for a debut album, they sound like theyve been playing together for years and honing a very particular sound for themselves, its hard to believe they barely knew each other and that cohesive melancholic quality all the songs share just kind of fell into place by accidentThey did good stuff after Ten too but it was much less consistent, none of their albums ever reached the heights of Ten again If you don't like Ten your opinion is wrong and you should feel bad about yourself

>>128342454>its hard to believe they barely knew each otherament, gossard and mccready had known each other for years. ament and gossard wrote every song on ten and had been making music together professionally for years at that point.
