Hey Art. Long time listener. Are they dispersing mid-range colloid screens to block Gorgon's ir sensors? Wondering how much intell you could get on battle of the bands opponents if you had access...

Gorgon Stare is a wide-area airborne persistent surveillance system developed for the United States Air Force by Sierra Nevada Corporation. It is designed to provide real-time, high-resolution video coverage of large urban areas, enabling military and intelligence operators to monitor movement and activity across multiple targets simultaneously. The system uses multiple electro-optical and infrared sensors mounted on aircraft such as the MQ-9 Reaper drone, allowing it to capture panoramic footage over several square miles.

Named after the mythical Gorgon whose gaze could turn people to stone, the system's "stare" refers to its ability to continuously observe and record activity on the ground, supporting counterinsurgency and counterterrorism operations. Gorgon Stare Increment 2 enhanced the system with improved processing, storage, and data transmission capabilities, enabling more efficient analysis and dissemination of surveillance footage.

How much of a difference is there in pickup voicings from different years? Fender has Telecaster pickups voiced like they’re from the early 1950s and also the mid 1960s, Stratocaster pickups voiced like they’re from the mid 1950s and also the mid 1960s. Is it really that much of a difference?

This is my favorite combination so far. The sansamp has better control of the tone rather than the odb3. If i want some fuzz I can get it from the big muff. Since I'm going to for sludge sounds, definitely don't need an OC5 for now.

Wraparound bridged are suh-weet. Some day for the sake of extreme minimalism I will own a 1-pickup, 1-knob guitar with a single patchcord going to a very small tube amp. I don’t know why, but it would please me greatly to have a set up like

That video of the tech trying out for EVH kind of opened my eyes to the intonation and setup business. He said he was guessing how the guitar should be adjusted because of where and what kind of playing EVH used.
Now whenever I tune and adjust a guitar, I expect that it's only going to be optimal in certain sections of the neck. A better setup or guitar might be near perfect full length, but I have to assume if I'm hammering the strings or changing positions by a wide range that I'm going to have to compensate.
>>
>>128410479
fret distance for guitars was calculated over a century ago. you’re not going to get perfect intonation without a micro fret guitar or a fretless. you’re right that different parts of the neck will be more or less intonated depending on where you set your intonation.
>>
Been goofing off with this chord, what’s it called
9
7
8
8
9
7
I’m using my thumb on the low E string on the 7th fret, my pointer middle and ring are playing a basic Am shape, and my pinky is hitting A string on the 9th fret and also the high E string on the 9th fret with the very base of my pinky finger (like it’s arched so I’m only sounding those two strings while the D G and B strings are still heard)
>>
>>128410479
Didn’t EVH purposefully request some strings detuned slightly in order to sound better with specific riffs too, to complicate things? Runnin’ with the devil requires a slightly flat B string
>>
>>128410506
Bmaj7 with added 9th and 6/13 or some shit
>>
>>128410506
Thinking about it a little more it’s a Bmaj 7 and then the C# on the high E 9th fret makes it an add 9, right? So it’ll be Bmaj7add9? Or am I just making it too complacated

For me the issue isn't even intonation, which is already lame that they can't figure out. Rather the fact that they're all >omg it sounds le better >le punchier sound when it's literally a neutered Tele sound. It's baffling really.
>>
>>128410517
yeah, one thing to consider when tuning is that when you strike a string it goes sharp. overwhelming majority of guitarists really gently hit the string when using the tuner then when they start to play their wiggerslam or 3 chord punk music everything sounds sour and sharp
the flattened B is a way to make A shape chords sound better when distorted
without a tunder I try to get E A chord and D chord equally out of tune which tends to be a slightly flat B string
>>
I want to translate https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vry-iAgfDCQ for guitar but I'm an earlet and theorylet who struggles with chords.
So far for the intro I got:
D
F G# A#
D# F G#
C D F G# (supposedly a pretty common chord, Dm7b5, inverted on C)
And then the second half of the intro starts with a C.

It's the kind of frustrating brainwashing that they acquire when their choice of guitars is ruled by overproduced homogenized guitar recordings. The same kind of upbringing that makes so many zoomers unable to fucking differentiate a Les Paul with humbuckers against P90s.

If you want a great fender styled guitar with more modern specs you would probably go Schecter, Charvel, Suhr, or MIJ Yamaha's before looking toward G&L. And that's a rather small part of the market, most people will buy Fenders even if the specs are worse, because it's the experience of having a Fender.

You’re learning the wrong things. You should learn chords, then scales, then start working on riffs, so that you actually understand where those riffs fit in, theoretically. depends, if you get a 1 x 12" cab you're retarded and should just get a 12" combo.

If you gonna blast 4 x 10/12" halfstacks with 100W heads because you're on stage in front of a crowd a combo is not gonna cut it.

How do I incorporate more rhythm oriented with subtle tasteful licks in a singer-songwriter fashion? Singing and playing acoustic is fine and is easier but I just love playing electric, but singing while just strumming electric doesn’t sound as good as strumming acoustic.

With a guitar tuner and a screw driver.
Open note should be in true and the note on the 12th fret should also be in tune.

This is something you’ll develop with decades of playing and a well trained ear. If you plug my guitars in the string will be off by a few cents each but everything sounds in tune regardless of where the shapes are played on the neck. Results vary by guitar and setup but it’s generally the case.
>>
>>128417594
>>128418150

Open note, 12th fret and harmonic on the 12th fret need to all be in tune. You really want a strobe tuner for this but it can be done with cheaper options, or you could get gud and train your ear.
