This 2025 Trad II FSR Jag is one of the nicest Fender offsets I’ve ever played and I’ve played well over a hundred between my own, friends, and trying them out in stores. I wouldn’t trade this for a flawless vintage Jag, even if it meant I could sell it and buy three of these. This one is 1 of 50 limited run. Now that you can get MIJs with American pickups and hardware they’re worth the hassle of importing and the price of doing it.

I want something with lipstick pickups and I’m going back and forth between just getting a Danelectro, getting an Ibanez Talman, or putting together some kind of partscaster with lipsticks. I want proper Danelectro sized lipsticks though, not the more common Strat pickup sized lipsticks. If I go partscaster I’m really considering a 24” or maybe 24.75” scale with Mustang/Duo Sonic body, hardtail, two pickups, and switching for both pickups in parallel, series, and out of phase. Everyone raves about the series wiring in Danos and it doesn’t make sense not to have that if I’m going the partscaster route but I also really like the two pickup out of phase sound. I just want something with lipsticks but what’s available isn’t 100% what I’d want, the new Jaguar is cool but not $3000 cool
