This is a thread about discussing and recommending noise/ harsh noise/ harsh noise wall/power electronics/ death industrial musicPost what you've been listening to recently For me it's https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gJwe5LBQT7shttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xE6aA2kyqughttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SvHFD0jf95A
I am getting into noise lately, any recs? Been listening to this, stuck on my merzbowhttps://youtu.be/1KWeSzqmmpI
>>128482401Start branching out with purient or deathpile
>>128482268>noise>music Not music and not good art.>>128482401A drill into your anus may suffice as a better option you fucking faggot.>>128482452>All that edgelord incel shitlmao kill yourself.
>>128482268One of the funniest albums of all time, no cap. When he REEEEEEEESSS in some tracks it's pure hilarity.
>>128482586You don't have to be a bitch about it. Geez.
>>1284826552 based 4 uhttps://youtu.be/wzoryTs7nMk?si=IhDGtNVBV7UqwyHp
>>128482670I haven't heard more of his shit, but those edgelord moments in his music and others like Navicon Torture Tech ("FUCK YOU, YOU NEVER LOVED ME", kek) are essentially the only things I have enjoyed about power electronics. Ramleh's lit though, but it is death industrial.

most recent thing i enjoyed were some of the reissues on Troniks/Helicopter, like Fumio Kosakai - Earth Calling, and the reissue of Aube - Squash which is a tape bolted inside a squashed tin can. i've also been revisiting the Damien Dubrovnik LPs on Posh Isolation which i forgot how good they are. i downloaded Merzbow/John Wiese's Akashaplexia since i like their other collabs but haven't gotten around to it yet.>>128482670you should check out I Used To Sell Flowers By The Roadside if you haven't already. it's like four hours of live recordings from the early golden days of Prurient in addition to two unreleased albums.
>>128482268The new Merzbow/John Wiese collab is pure fire. It's a 50/50 combo of Wiese's collage technique and the harsher, blown-out sound of Merzbow.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aGXiYVHbFG8i like folksy noise
>>128482586>Not musicit's the end game of music, to dis-solve itselfhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kBPgN3vlvKg
>>128482401Check out Dreamcrusherhttps://youtu.be/QKU1V7VH-ysAnd also this by Merzbow toohttps://youtu.be/2QxZ83XW95I
>>128482452>>128483157Thanks for this, got anymore? I like experimental jazz, something like that? I don't even know what I am trying to say
>>128483197https://helicopter.bandcamp.com/album/c-section
>>128483197try peter brotzmann machine gun. you might've already heard it but reccing it just in case
>>128483197As a noisy jazz record I'd recommend Speedball Trio from Moscowhttps://speedball.bandcamp.com/album/speedball-trioHonestly I just go into bandcamp tags and listen to whatever album art grabs my attention. With Noise you never know when you will uncover some amazing recordings.

>>128483034I think the physical performance aspect of early Prurient is a huge part of the appeal for me.
I forgot to mention this noisy metal gem when I postedhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9Kcsro_l200
>>128483140still not good art tho
Did any of you guys go to the Hospital Productions Fest thing in NY a month ago?
>>128483718Nta but it helps to approach it as anti-music and perhaps even non-art. It's more like a brain-melting meditation aid.
>>128482268>noiseForgot about thatGood thread op have a bump
>>128482268>Lilja 4 everHave another bump you fantastic bastard
I'm seeing Bruce Russell here in Sydney at a free show later today. I got my shirt on for the occasion
>>128483798i did. pretty good lineup. linekraft was fucking amazing. mortician kinda sucked though.
bumpcome on /mu/...
>>128485483>MorticianReally? How are they live? Did they play with a drum machine?
>>128483369Yeah i'm the same. Obviously the performances are so bodily and he's thrashing around like Masonna. But an interesting thing I didn't consider was mentioned in the book America's Greatest Noise, written by Ron Lessard (a.k.a. Emil Beaulieau of RRRecords), who has had a long relationship with Dom Fernow. I don't have the book on me to quote it directly but Ron was giving advice to Dom about his live performances. Something about how when he was standing, when he was at his gear table, he "had" the audience... and when he fell to the floor, to his knees, he "lost" them.
>>128482268I prefer Break Dancing Ronald Reagan
>>128486238well they were alright, it's just that i'm not a fan of deathgrind or metal in general. they were a surprise act at the very end of the festival so i was like eh. no they played with their live drummer.
>>128483045merzbow is really good when he's collabing with someone else, probably why he does it so much. bustmonsters and flying testicle are some of my fav projects from him so maybe i'm biased.
>>128487178Honestly I feel the same about john wiese. He has so, so many excellent collaborations.
>>128487221I met John Wiese. He's an obnoxious asshole
>>128487283Did you rape him?
>>128487221Yeah, I'd say Wiese is much better when he's collaborating with people. I prefer Merzbow on his own.
>>128486930Yeah, I think they're much better with the drum machine. Very cold and mechanical feeling music.
>>128487412No. He's just not friendly and his wife was was handling the merch table. I dont need to see him preform or speak to him ever again. Vomir is a true gentleman tho.
>>128487860Vomir is a very chill dude. I guess all that noise-fuelled meditation paid off.
I don't get it
>>128487283>I met John Wiese. He's an obnoxious asshole>>128487860>No. He's just not friendly and his wife was was handling the merch table. I dont need to see him preform or speak to him ever again.Stuff like this doesn't bother me because I don't expect people to be my friends just because I like their art. I don't bother people at shows, I don't reply guy them on social media.
Found this the other day - totally obscure Japanoise with like 10 albums that is now lost media >genu of corpus callosum - Collected Tracks [2001-2007] https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l1ko6RWUxyQ&list=RDl1ko6RWUxyQ
>>128488574No, there was just a huge aire of arrogance when speaking to him the whole time. His live set is prerecorded on a sampler on the modular synth too. I was bummed out.
ever heard scum (tokyo) or princess army wedding combat
ever heard sissy spacek or nojsbojs
>>128489353>>128489363>replies to selfu ever heard this shit doghttps://youtu.be/9_srkqwqKR4?si=vme34mC7Fyv2gNlW
orcutt uber alles
does anyone know any similar electro/aggrotech noise fusions like some of the stuff on bermuda drain?this album is pretty close, although less noisy
