pet sounds is one of my favourite albums, so i love that you mentioned that
ive listened to a few songs here and then but not yet a full album, since there isnt a fanbase (or, i couldnt find one) that would state iconic albums from the genre(i guess i should have made my own way through it instead). though, i am aware that there was a flowchart made for baroque pop and id love to get through that one day

>flowchart made for baroque pop
can you show me that? I dont know what that is
>(i guess i should have made my own way through it instead)
a lot of times (at least on discogs), most baroque pop albuns are incorrectly labeled as spychedelic rock, which is annoying.
>state iconic albums from the genre
beatles - revolver
beach boys - pet sounds
love - forever changes
zombies - I dont remember the name but you know which one.
the moody blues - the debut album

You can also get familiar with these bands:
the kinks, chad & geremy, nirvana (SIXTIES nirvana), bee gees, the hollies, the moody blues

sixties nirvana mentioned

thanks for the suggestions, im quite familiar with most of them, but thanks nontheless!

and oh my gosh, looking at the flowchart now i have listened to a good few, i just didnt consider them baroque pop myself. flew over my head. facepalm

cool chart, did you make it?
right off the bat, I dont like that sgt peppers is there, I consider it more of a psych rock /pop rock album, and even then revolver is better.
but I like this chart cause it shows a bunch of forgotten 60s albums, most of them I can recognize.
Kaleidoscope (UK) I also dont consider it baroque pop, and I dont think it should be there.
No kinks album? No Chad and geremy album?
The monkees psces aquaris, etc is good but I prefear the next one.
these are just ideas for when I make my own mega flowchart

really nice chart, but i agree that kinks are missing
>>
>>128492517
which kinks album are you adding though?
face to face?

MPB is more interesting than those obscure Sunshine Pop albums. Listen to Clube Da Esquina
>>
I always shill this album in threads like these, but I'm once again encouraging people to listen to Manfred Mann. Although you should listen to the mono versions of their music because their stereo mixes suck

Before they became Gentle Giant, the Shulman brothers made some pretty good pop music.
