Doesn't that stuff eventually come off?
The best way Pau Ferro can look good (besides being a prime uniform piece) is a spotty body too. It looks more ugly the more solid your body color is.

10+ years ago my grandparents went on vacation for three months and I house sat for them in the middle of the woods and it was awesome just absolutely cranking it with zero neighbors to worry about. I had to take all the pictures off the walls and all the fancy grandma tier breakable glassware out of the cabinets. Their living room had a drum set right in the center with all the furniture pushed off against the walls and amps and gear from myself and two other people and we’d just rip all night. It was great, three months of just jamming heaven. They came home and everything was back to normal and a few years later I showed them pictures of their living room at the time with all of our gear and they weren’t too happy lmao

Anyone got a good recommendation/ resources for learning Guitar after a long hiatus of playing? I remember having a mega link to loads of stuff but lost it. Who would you say is the best for learning rock/metal?

Also what’s some good recording software that has amp sims and pedals? Seems to be loads of them cutting about now compared to when I was trying to start playing.

what THE FUCK is up with used prices these days
this shit has been going on for like 10 years now were people think asking 95% of new MRSP for something used is how you price things
and these things NEVER sell, people just relist them over and over and over and never sell them

its fucking insane
I'm looking for shitty solid state trash from the 70s and 80s for a project
10 years ago, you could not GIVE away some 300w Peavey bass amp
now I look on craigslist and these absolute fucking retards want 600 dollars for some ugly ass Peavey bass or PA head
the absolute bottom of the barrel shit has insane prices even though no one has any money and the economy has been completely fucked for like 20 years now, and people don't even play guitar as much as they used to

i see this in everything these days, not just music instruments, but music instruments seem to be the worst

I'm just saying to build that cab as an individual, if anything I priced it too low (I've built 7 cabs).

Yes economy of scale works in large production, but it's not like they are buying Celestion G12s for 50 bucks. I'm guessing they pay more like 80 per (i'tll cost you 180+shipping, tax)
Wood is typically about 30% when bought in bulk, wood, especially stuff like decent quality birch ply is extremely expensive these days. Hardware is extremely expensive.

Speakers and hardware are about half of that price. They're buying wholesale all of these things, but labor and especially logistics are going to eat into the profit. Shipping anything bigger than a guitar or head is a kick in the nuts. Maybe freight opens some options for these companies, idk.

I dislike when companies move to mdf or particle. Mdf has to be extra thick because it's crushed up newspapers and it's already deadening and heavy. Water will f your shit up if it ever gets to it. 1/2" ply is strong, light, reactive. You can probably get away with BCX ply if you're tolexing, since your sanded birch will be 2-3x cost.

Tried to pick up my mother's old classical guitar but it's a very cheap one and dosn't even stay in tune. The mechanics also make noises as if they're gonna rip apart if you try to tune it. Here's some top tier copypasta for you guys. I guess it's just a list of things you should avoid if you actually want to improve your own playing.

I got a buddy I been playing with weekly for two years now, and he still thinks masturbating over his guitar once or twice a week is going to get him somewhere, or that I'm going to do it for him. Decided to type out the things to get them off my mind and it got out of hand. If it's petty, it's been two years, whatever. If anyone needs fodder for making a meme, there's plenty.

pic related is my settings today for this recording. In the recordings i posted yesterday there was 0 of the dry signal going through it was just muff and omicron. i tried to put the distortion higher in the EQ and the BM lower. i havent played at all with the boost on with the pre amp, so i gave that a try this time as well. i think you can tell when i turn on the omicron here but is it still boomy? the audio shape in ableton is much smaller than yesterday so i dont think it should boom.

Honestly, do let me know if there's anything in there that actually isn't that bad, that I can expect from a reasonable musician if I ever meet any. I assume most guitarists can smoke a cigarette while playing, they just keep the ciggie in the strings of the headstock in between puffs. This guy is just lazymaxing and thinks being a guitarist is part of that.

I like the realistic relic look, where the guitar is scratched in the right places like some guitar that has been in use for decades like under the pickup or where the arm rest is or the back with belt buckle rash and shit.

It's incredibly cringe to see guitars that have relic in the most retarded places where not even a 60 year old strat that has actually been in use would have any scuff marks.

I love DBA pedals and had like 8 of them including 2 super rare ones (flaming lips space ring and this weird fuzz tremolo thing) but I had to sell all of them when I saw how unbelievably faggy they are and donate money to shit like killing babies

At least ESP are made out of thousand-fold wood by a single guy from the first to the last step and you get lifetime warranty he'll commit seppuku if you experience fret sprout.

Indian Rosewood is cheaper than Pau Ferro and looks way better

give the bozos one solo. crowd will most likely like it because its a bass solo. although musically it usually ruins the song and is just a show off moment. same with drum solos

There's 5 piece bands, 4 piece bands, and then there's "we REALLY wish we were at least 4 piece". Frankly I might walk out the show if I see three or heaven forbid 2 guys only on stage, and I know I'm mot the only one.

I would love to get this LTD if the blue wasn't as dark. In all the pictures it looks way brighter like an actual caribbean sandy beach which is what they were going for.
This actually looks like deep sea to beach and much less appealing.

what pedal or plugin can i use to make my guitar sound like this (at 0:34 and 0:41): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=87hAGYDe4_k

I know on the recording they use a Marshall Time Modulator, which is a unconventional delay/flanger thing with modulation. I think it's analog as well, which probably contributes. Is there anything similar made today with all the fancy pedals?

That other pocket Hotone is $200 on Ali of all places. They're getting to Nux levels of e-waste.

Their $50 micro heads were ok. I have their djent micro pedal too because sonicake had it blown out. It's whatever.
