I've taken this test several times over and I always flub one or two songs. Instrumentals are always tough to tell.
>>128565766I blame some of the instrumentals for being some generic ass fucking keys.
You can tell pretty easily with the weird mixing, strange movements and fucking non sense artifacts
kek I would be deeply ashamed if my music was being used for this quiz
>>128567103Sigur Ros was there, idk if they should feel ashamed
Does everyone have the same songs?
>>128567314that's crazy>>128567359no 'cause I didn't get sigur ros....unless they were that song that didn't play (I had one where it didn't play so I just guessed and went to the next one)
Here's an ai song I wrote and been fucking around with today. It kinda fucked it up and I don't have the studio version because it probably sucks, but idk. V5 is pretty glitchy. I have made songs that are pretty hard to tell they're ai. I've shared them on the shill thread and other places and if people aren't looking for it, they can't tell. The being said, everything it makes lacks the x factor that makes a song great.https://suno.com/s/oEfXmE9hroiuqMaJ
Thanks to this quiz I learned about Yorushika. Their song felt the most human to me of all I've got, there was no way that would be AI.
>>128567814>I wrotelet me stop you right there
>>128565572This doesn't effect me because I was born in le wrong generation
>>128567896i wrote the lyrics and formed the song structure. provided an original drum, bass, and synth track that it used to go off of.
>>128566674Yeah, if you have trouble detecting AI music, you're kinda retarded
>>128565572I only need 5 or 10 second to know if is real or aiit’s kinda like, experience thing you know, when you listen to ai music… i’ve been listening to a bunch since like the first versions from suno, audio..., and the new ones too, i use that stuff a lot. there’s something in the mix, like some sand or dirt in the sound, very subtle, that tells you it’s ai. some songs tho, even some i made and uploaded, if you work them a bit, mix them and stuff, they sound real. but you gotta work on them, like download the stems, the tracks, and re mix all by yourself. if you just leave it like the app gives it to you, it’s super easy to know which is ai and which is not, but that’s just cause of experience. a person with no idea of this stuff, it’s really hard for them to guess, cause they are actually getting pretty good desu>30 years as music producer and composer>4 years using AI as a tool to help me making music>I coded my own "mini AI", who imitates (more or less) Bach style composition, and other to mini AI to make guitar riffs for metal
>>128567896he still wrote it. even if he used some ai thing or whatever, he wrote it. you gotta accept this is just new kind of creativity. sure, it needs a lot of tweaks and fixing and all that, but yeah, he made that. it’s like if you tell me “no bro, you used keyboard and screen, you should be grinding red ochre and charcoal, mix it with some animal fat and blow it on a cave wall”.what kind of caveman logic is that lol. he wrote it, he did his prompt with the stuff he has inside his head, and the ai turned it into sound. it’s like you got a real person in front of you and you say “i want a song like this and that” and they compose it for you. but instead of a person, a program does it. he’s like the director giving the orders. he wrote it.i’ve been doing this professionally like 20 years, making music for 30, and ai is a fucking great tool. the “artists” crying about it are just mid and insecure. i’m not even some genius composer, just decent, but it’s just another tool, same as using a DAW instead of mixing with cables and analog crap.same with old punch cards programming languages now coding with ai. just more abstraction levels.creativity doesn’t die, everybody is creative. what ai does is make it easier for more people to get what they have inside, outside.
>>128571956inb4 le reddit spacefuck you
>>128565766use headphones, and try to listen in the backgrpound like a seashore, sand effect, is super subtle, but is thereis not like the lofi effect , is some kind of noise
>>128571985some kind of special noise, chaotic, sorry idk how to explain it properly
>>128571110I misidentified some songs as AI because they were so bland
>>128571873downloading stems and mixing it is next step for me. or downloading stems, mixing, and adding my own tracks and vocals to that. you have recordings uploaded of ai stems you've mixed? i've been reluctant to upgrade to the studio version because the v5 is so glitchy. i used suno last winter too and the edit function was free. didn't work too well, they paywalled it now and not sure if they upgraded that.
>>128571956>I've been doing this professionally like 20 years, making music for 30please please PLEASE post a single piece of music you've made
>>128571956i agree with you. it's ironic that poor people with no musical abilities are bitching about this. we all know that only trust fund kids that get private music lessons their whole life and have family with industry connections "make it'. AI is your bridge, it's the handicap. You wanna work a shit job to support your interest in making music? Lose all your money buying shitty music equipment and pay for your band to have a studio session? Professional music studios and producers do the same fucking thing Suno does. When there is money on the line, they're not gonna let your song suck, they're gonna enhance it if they've got a contract. Listen to the demos for some classic rock songs and tell me they don't fucking suck. So if you can make one of your original songs sound as good as some jewish producer in an expensive studio, then fucking do it. Yeah, it's not the same quality, but it's close enough to help you get your foot in the door. If you're gonna send your demo out, may as well sound as good as possible. If you don't know what good music is, ai isn't gonna magically make your song good enought to catch on. Especially as we get more ai songs out there. Guarantee you tons of popular bands have been using some version of ai long before us poors got to use it. Generate ai song, tweak it, have live band with pro musicians cover it.
>>128575564post a song you've made please
Cherry picked tracks make the quiz a little deceptive. I guess they sort of have to be in order to avoid having participants heard the songs before. Both tracks I got incorrect are dance-y club tracks with lots of noise. I don't feel too bad about missing them given they sound exactly like shit in clubs anyway. Does that make current-gen AI music a barometer for something?
