Cover looks like someone took a massive dump on it. Music reflects that feel.

They just lacked the creative resources to make a good album, but if you listen closely, you could imagine something like All Within My Hands being a great song with the right production and tweaks done to the structure of the song. With Death Magnetic and post-DM albums, you can just straight up hear the boredom and lazyness... just putting out shit into the world to get more money and maybe to not dissapoint fans. It's sad to see a classic band become so washed, and essentially turn into everything they hated back in the 80s.
72 Seasonings isn't as bad as people say it is. It's much worse.

Haven't gotten to it yet. While on the subject of 'tallica, though, I listened to "St. Anger" today and it's just as good compositionally as their other post-black-album records except it's them adorably trying to sound like Slipknot.

Not once in my entire life I complained about 72 seasons or hardwired, I've always liked these two records since literally day 1 and I still do.
