Does anyone still use RYM on /mu/ anymore or has that clique disappeared? There used to be RYM threads all the time.
RYM today is no different from Twitter or Letterboxd. It's a cesspool now.
>>128704913>Does anyone still use RYM on /mu/ anymoreyes
RYM is filled with tasteless zoomers who worship MCR and Linkin Park
>>128705021So, same as here, basically?
Everything about the site is conducive to becoming an echo chamber
>>128704913Too many spics.
>>128704913yes but I never used the forums and never would comment on other profiles or friend people, i used to sometimes comment on release pages, but I stopped that years ago and delete my comments whenever I come across them. I pretty much only use RYM to log but want to eventually export all that data into Emacs and keep my own formatted files with my music ratings, i only need RYM for specific charts I make desualso I donated to sharifi in 2016 and sonemic still has never lunched >:|(yes I know that they ended up just releasing sonemic features through rym)
>>128705021the MCR reappraisal is awesome but the linking park is cringe indeed
>>128705057Pretty much.>>128705021>>128705095I know I've mentioned this before, but the reappraisal and rediscovery of MCR is baffling as fuck to me. If you went to high school anytime in the 2000s, MCR was the band everyone made fun of along with Hot Topic-tier trash like Good Charlotte, The Used, AFI and Sum 41. The band was the face of everything wrong with Emo-Pop, but they found an audience of newer fans sometime between 2007-2016.
>>128705060too many spiccies
>>128705021>worship Linkin ParkHybrid Theory is rated 3.47
I only use Sputnikmusic, the superior music website.
>>128705506It used to be around 2.8
>>128705513Neat, thanks
>>128705057The only reason /mu/ isn't a echo chamber is cause we all love to be contrarian assholes
>>128705513>has barely updated their UI since 2006Based. Why did they get rid of the forums though? I was on there since it was musicianforums.com
>>128704913>Does anyone still use RYM on /mu/ anymoreNah I'm not a tranny
>>128705513Both are way better than AOTY which is filled with turbo normies
>>128704913I lost respect for RYM since they've decided a pop album is the greatest album of all time.
