Much better now that the frets are crowned nicely. It was fine as it was, but now it’s way more smooth. Between this and my Noventa, the Jazzmaster has become my go to. I’ve been using my Jags and Mustangs for alternate tunings, I’ve come up with some pretty sweet riffs in Stephen Wilson Jrs DFA#FAD. That blue Mustang sounds great down there and holds it surprisingly well.

Man I miss my Mig 50. I got sick of waiting for EHX to ship out replacement tubes and ordered a set of Sovtek 5881s so I can at least confirm whether or not it’s just a bad tube or something worse. We joke about Sweetwater but when I told my guy what was happening he said they will cover any repairs because it’s still under warranty. I really don’t want to ship it off though, so here’s hoping it just a bad tube.

>>128721218I recommend doing the beginner to badass course at bass buzz, it might still be on sale. it costs money but it’s easily the most fun and productive thing you can do as a beginner. after that I would go to talkingbass.net and get the creative bassist course. if you wanted to minmax your build I would just take those two things. this is coming from someone who has completed both of those courses, probably half a dozen other courses from all the big names and has spent at least another $800 on books
