I once read the transcription of an interview given by Jim Gillette to some online music pamphlet, and I distinctively remember him being asked how he did the split voice thing, and him answering he just imagined his vocal chords splitting and that was all he could figure.Even though I'd played Nitro songs that featured the creepy demon voice a billion times over (e.g Freight Train), it never occurred to me such was anything but modulation, but turns out it wasn't, at least when the voice was merely doubled and not tripled/quadrupled.With that shit hot in my mind, I hit the tube (this was 2007 or something) and sure enough one video showed up and confirmed this was indeed true, but that video eventually disappeared and I haven't seen it ever since. All I can find today either has the double voice from the actual recording playing back or just his regular voice. No live double voice to be found.Any takers?
