I started browsing /mu/ on the day Animal Collective's Merriweather Post Pavilion leaked. I swear it was December 2008 but let's just call it 2009. That was 16 years ago. Listening to that album now is the equivalent of me listening to, say, Stereolab's Transient Random-Noise Bursts With Announcements or Wu-Tang Clan's Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers) when I first starting browsing here, both of which I did soon after. Crazy to think about. Anyone know this feel? It's just cool to see the albums we see saw in real-time become classics.
yes, it's a very good feelingnostalgia touches the soul

>>128716015I listened to Blackstar before Bowie died. first posted on /mu/ only around 2018 though.
>>128716310I haven't heard that album, but I do remember when Bowie's The Next Day (2013) came out and it was posted here constantly, especially as it was Bowie's big comeback album.

>>128716015>classicslol, no one gives a shit about AnCo now, fucking Burzum is about to surpass them on Spotify
>>128721136:O true?idk I moved onto classical a few years ago so I don't know what's in anymore
>>128716015get your prostate checked, anon
>>128721285No thats bullshit. But they have very poor numbers. I really though they had more listeners than this giving they have been around for so long
>>128721672Ah. Maybe I'll give a peep to the RYM 2025 chart. I still listen to non-classical when I go for walks and I'm out of the house, so I could explore some new shit then, see what's in these days.
