I'll highlight just one. I saw George Clanton. Also saw him two years ago and that show was incredible. Frost Children opened along with Death's Dynamic Shroud. This year it was just him and his wife... He was wasted before the first song in the worst way possible. Started out the set proclaiming he threw up in his own mouth, but kept it down for us. He then proceeded to play deep cuts, as he dubbed it 'The Real Heads Set' and often drug them out to annoying lengths. It was pretty awful considering his show in 2023 was pretty awesome: all the hits with cool visuals to boot. Still like the dude, but he also kept repeating this was the last time we were ever gonna see him, some real doomer shit implying he was ending George Clanton the musical project after this tour.

& the openers

Yes, it's only normie metal because in France, if you don't live in Paris, you miss 90% of everything since the only thing "people" are listening here is french rap so good bands only do one show in Paris and ignore the rest of the country or only go to festivals (which are all located in the northern part of France)
France is hell if you actually like music, Germany for example has it a million times better
>>
It was a solid year for shows
Started witv a local show with some cool bands. Music was alright but the people were cool. Not gonna mention the names because its too personal.
After that I saw
Helmet with Slomosa and War on Women. Helmet sounded just like the record even at page's advanced age and the complete lineup change. Slomosa made a new fan out of me I hope to see them headline someday if they ever come back to America, and War on Women was surprisingly good.
Saw Deafheaven with Gatecreeper and Trauma Ray. Gatecreeper was fun and I like their new music.
Marilyn Manson who's in good shape these days, but I didn't think his new album was good enough to play that much of it
Queens of the Stone Age who put on a good show and apparently played some songs they havent played in years including song for the dead which I was hyped for
Powerman 5000 with Ill Nino. The craziest concert I've ever been to, you would not know piwerman 5000 was 20 years past their prime, aside from the crowd of 40 year olds moshing like their lives depended on it
Nine Inch nails and boys noize which was a spectacular show as usual with nin. Definitely the highlight of the year. I was looking forward to it since the announcement
Twenty One Pilots who's current tour isn't as well equipped as their last but was still fun
And most recently Mudvayne with Static-X. I was really there for Static-X who killed it. Mudvayne was good too
>>128716376
>my Chemical Romance
It should have been me
>>128716629
This deafheaven album and tour was mindblowing. They are at their peak right now
>>128718178
My dad of all people saw viagra boys. I should've gone with him
>>128719113
Blue Oyster Cult keeps coming to the small theatre in my town. I think they live nearby, its weird thinking of how huge they used to be. Maybe ill catch them next time
>>
>>128720760
I'm the first poster in the thread. I live about an hour or so from the DFW area and two hours from Austin. Provided that an artist comes to Texas (which most do), it's likely that they'll be in one of those three cities. That's not always the case though, Lamp was only in Houston for their tour this year but I saw them last year in Dallas.
>>
>>128716225
Billy Strings, who were fucking excellent in all regards.
Marc Rebillet, which didn't suit me at all.

2025 is when I discovered this cool Chick punk band from Iowa.

I've seen them 4 times, soon to be 6 all in this year alone. 2nd show they dedicated a song to me. I gave the lead my number last show but she probably won't text me. tried to ask her out for lunch cause she's coming to my home town lol

I saw Coheed at Red Rock and they are super washed now. I fucking hate Zach and he is the most untalented bassist in all the music industry.
Their last two albums have been absolute formulaic garbage.
Taking Back Sunday was there. I never listened to them before, but holy shit their music is awful. Why was that band ever popular?
>>
This year I saw...
>The New Jersey Symphony Orchestra
>Eyehategod, Wailin Storms, Mindrazer, Scarlet Kings, and Shivan
>System of a Down, KoRn, Polyphia, and Wisp
>>
>>128725340

>>128721495
I saw Silvio with my parents back in 2017, didn't know he was touring again, honestly thought he died
>>
Musical Mirai and a few classical concerts. I'm becoming old.
>>
I went to every single concert this year, have to say, no a single bad one.

I saw QOTSA last year and they did like a 12 minute encore of a song for the dead, it was amazing

i have very distinctive facial hair and there was a funny story from the first time i saw them. After the first 2 songs she starts saying something like "hey everyone, it's Hugh Jackman, show us your metal claw things, yeah".

At this point i don't know if they know it's me, so I shouted something in reference to the funny thing that I teased her about the first time. She hears me and hesitates for a moment, smiles, and says "this one goes out to wolverine".

After the show they said they thought it was me, but they weren't sure until i confirmed it. They did remember my name, too.

Do you buy merch at concerts?
Is it at the beginning, end, or during the openers.
Picrel was on sale during the concert and people were waiting in line for the entirety of the concert to scalp merch.

Phantogram (solid)
Santigold (sounded good 2 me but was constantly ragging on her sound guy the whole show)
Justice (sounded better in the past, venue was prob to blame desu)
Willie Nelson (older than fuck)
LCD Soundsystem (always great)
Mogwai (not really into them but were solid)
Wild Nothing (decent)
Sleigh Bells (solid)
Death From Above 1979 (easily fav show of the year)
Boys Noize (think my tinnitus got tinnitus from the bass)
The Rapture (kinda weak)
Passion Pit (least fav show of the year, seemed like he was trying to work shit out on stage)
John Maus (dude's wild live)
L'imperatrice (new singer was alright)
Stereolab (solid, lol at everyone in here seeing them this tour)
Viagra Boys (second least fav show, but probably alright, not really my thing, crowd was faggoty)
Black Moth Super Rainbow (second fav show)
Clown Core (fine i guess. went in thinking they were a meme, left thinking they were a meme)
Machine Girl (cut out early)
Tame Impala (third fav show of the year, even if new album was wack)
Purity Ring (sounded fine but asked crowd to wear masks in 20fucking25)
Ariel Pink (decent)

I thought it was an excellent show, but I do really like the album, so seeing most of the songs live for the first time was really cool. Other than that, they mostly just played stuff from Nightfall. Not the most exciting setlist, but still worth seeing if you like BG.
